Winter is almost here and we are all rejoicing over it. Its that time of the year when our skin glow more than ever and everything we eat only adds up to our beauty. However, our hair tends to get super dry and washing them everyday is impossible and extremely annoying. With shampoos and conditioners loading themselves with heavy chemical content, listed below are the 10 home remedies to keep your hair moisturised and luscious.

As weird as it may sound but tea helps in giving your hair a very nice shine. Use instant tea and mix it in lukewarm water, after you wash your hair with the shampoo, use it as the final rinse. Tea helps in protecting the hair colour, so if your hair is dark use tea and if blonde then use chamomile tea.

Egg and Shampoo

Another weird remedy but a super effective one. Mix an egg with your regular hair shampoo and apply it on your damaged and dry hair. Wash it off and condition it, keep doing this once every week for best results.

Olive or Almond Oil

A hairspa right in your house and absolutely free of cost. Dampen your hair and apply lukewarm almond or olive oil and massage it all over your scalp. Cover it with a shower cap and then a hot towel and leave it on for an hour. Wash it off with a shampoo of your choice and get thick, healthy hair.

Sandalwood Oil

This one is perfect for super dry hair. Take some sandalwood oil and mix it with olive oil. Take the mixture between your palms and rub it gently through the end of your hair or all over if it is too rough. Make sure you take a small amount for it to not look too oily.

Banana and Avocado

A healthy mixture for healthy hair. Mix one ripe banana with two ripe avocado, apply the fine mixture on your hair and put a shower cap on. Leave it for 30 minutes and then wash it away with a mild shampoo. This helps in keeping your hair nourished and moisturised.

Egg Whites

Take two egg whites and 4 tablespoon of water, blend the mixture together till you get a white foam. Apply this foam all over your hair especially the strands and leave it on for an hour. Wash it away with plain water and then a mild shampoo.

Rice Milk and Honey

Rice Milk and honey will help in keeping your hair moisturised and also give that perfect shine. Rice milk is prepared by grinding rice with water. Mix the rice milk with two tablespoon of honey. Apply this mixture on the ends and the scalp, leave it on for 30 minutes and wash it away with a shampoo of your choice. This mixture will leave a sweet fragrance and if repeated it once every week, will leave you with awesome results too.

Pumpkin and Honey

Pumpkin is rich in Vitamin A and C. Make a pumpkin paste and mix it with two tablespoons of honey. Once the mixture is prepared, apply it all over your hair, concentrating on the scalp and ends. Keep it on for 20 mins and wash it away with plain water to get soft and smooth hair.

Magical Mixture

Mix 1 teaspoon of apple cider vinegar with two tablespoons of olive oil and 3 egg whites. Mix it well and apply it on your hair and also massage it well. Cover your hair with a shower cap for 30 minutes and shampoo it later on.

Coconut Oil

Oiling of the hair is extremely important and coconut is a blessing for every type of hair. Use lukewarm oil and massage it nicely in your scalps and ends, leave it on overnight and wash it off the next day. You’ll see instant results as oiling the hair actually does wonders.

Apart from these home remedies make sure you that you use deep conditioning as it will keep your hair moisturise, oil it regularly, do not use a hair dryer as it’ll dry your hair further and wrap your hair as it will help it from breaking and getting damaged.
