Sunscreen 101

Best way to protect your skin from premature aging, sun sensitive skin, unwanted tanning & sun rashes.

Sunscreen is important factor in maintaining healthy & youthful skin.

Make sure the sunscreen blocks both UVA and UVB rays. These types of sunscreens, called broad-spectrum sunscreens, contain more active ingredients. Ideally a sunscreen should also be hypoallergenic and noncomedogenic so it doesn't cause a rash or clog the pores, which can cause acne. Best protection is achieved by application 15 to 30 minutes before exposure to the sun. During summer use the highest SPF you can stand to use around SPF 45 range , especially for days with a lot of sun exposure. However I strongly encourage you to use at least SPF 15 everyday.

For easier body application you could always buy a spray formula & Gel or Lotion based formula for facial skin. Lotions are less thick, spread more easily and are less greasy.

Its always hard to get rid of tan on ethnic skin that tans easily under the sun. Its best to take measures to avoid it, especially during the summer months.

vaseline body lotion with spf 25,loreal, lakme are popular
Vichy n neutrogena are also available. I think for Indian climate and Indian skin , we should go for cream n lotions which specify SPF, that has atleast25 cos we get tanned very easily.

ALSO USE THE ONE WITH ((PHYSICAL BLOCKER)) INSTEAD OF CHEMICAL. ...PHYSICAL BLOCKER CONTAIN ((( THOSE WITH ZINC))) PROTECT BETTER. AND THOSE IN INDIA SHOULD USE SPF MINIMUM OF 30 not 15.
    ***Look for
Physical Blocker ( w/ Zinc oxide or/and Titanium dioxide)
    Min SPF 30
    Broad Spectrum

    Also wear hat.
and if can avoid going out from 10am-3pm at least when the sun rays are it Best

These r not just to become fair but also prevent Skin Cancer, aging, sun spot, wrinkles....
