Rumours are getting stronger that Deepika Padukone will be paired against Emraan Hashmi in the movie being co-produced by Karan Johar and Ekta Kapoor. Emraan is an Ekta Kapoor favourite after Once Upon A Time in Mumbaai, The Dirty Picture and is also acting in Ekta’s production Ek Thi Daayan.
Deepika was praised by Karan for her work in Yeh Jawaani Hai Deewani. Insiders say this is why this pairing is at near finalization stage despite doubts about how the audience would react to this lead pair.
