The actor-filmmaker was shaken up by the lack of security women in India face. Post the unfortunate Delhi gang-rape case, actor became involved in a campaign called, 'MARD - Men Against Rape and Discrimination' which intends to sensitize men towards women's safety issues.
Recently, Farhan spoke with Delhi and Mumbai schools to include this campaign and the poem he has penned down in the school curriculum so students are made aware of such issues from an early age. Below is the poem he's written dedicated to the cause:

Bollywood is always buzzing of news regarding best friends and their 'break-ups'. One such seems to be the friendship between Farhan Akhtar and Abhishek Kapoor. Farhan got his big acting break and lot of appreciation with Abhishek Kapoor's Rock On. However, there was news that these two fell out because the actor’s production company stalled the sequel of Rock On.
Anyway, it was again assumed that all was well when a source mentioned that Farhan was indeed on Abhishek's guest list for the premiere of 'Kai Po Che'.

Vidya is known for her heavy performances, but she's also in the news for being pleasantly plump and not giving a damn about it. But now, as her role demands, she's going in for a strict exercise and diet regime to shed the weight.

Farhan tweeted about this earlier today. "One Billion will Rise. Join the movement wherever you are. I am. Tomorrow. 5:30 pm onwards at Bandra Amphitheatre. Proud to see the massive number of people out in support of One Billion Rising. Let's keep building momentum as we go forward." he said.
