Shah Rukh Khan and American rapper Pitbull performed in front of around 65,000 spectators at Salt Lake stadium, which is the second largest stadium in the world, at the start of the sixth edition of the Indian Premier League (IPL) in Kolkata on 2nd Apr 2013. IPL 6 opening ceremony was a gala affair with fanfare, music and the works.

Come IPL and there is already a steaming hot controversy in the air. This war of words is between American singer Jennifer Lopez and our very own badshah Shahrukh Khan. As per earlier reports, JLO was supposed to perform at the IPL 6 opening ceremony. At least that was what SRK planned for, with all vigor and enthusiasm. Apparently, SRK's Red Chillies Entertainment and his IPL team were closely working to make this possible.

Veteran actor, Manoj Kumar, is all set to sue SRK and Eros International over not removing specific scenes which spoofed him in the 2007 blockbuster film, Om Shanti Om. His lawyer, Ashok Saraogi, sent a defamation notice to Shahrukh Khan (chairman of Red Chillies Entertainment (distributor of Om Shanti Om)) for Rs. 100 crores for not removing these spoof scenes before the film's release in Japan.

Last quarter we saw two production houses battle it out for screens during a Diwali release. Ajay Devgn's ADF pressed charges against YRF saying YRF was in an unfair tie-in arrangement with the exhibitors. The films in question were ADF's 'Son of Sardaar' and YRF's 'Jab Tak Hain Jaan'.
