Kareena Kapoor Khan, or the Begum, as she is rightly called after marrying Saif Ali Khan, is an Indian actress and daughter of actors Randhir Kapoor and Babita. Born on 21 September 1980, Kareena, often referred to as ‘Bebo’, made her acting debut in J.P.Dutta’s movie Refugee. Kareena is the recipient of six Filmfare awards and two critics Awards for Best Actress for Dev and Omkara. Before marrying Saif Ali Khan, Kareena was in a relationship with actor Shahid Kapoor, but the couple broke up in 2007. Kareena married Saif Ali Khan on 16 October 2012 in a private ceremony in Mumbai and a reception was later held in Delhi. In 2017, Kareena gave birth to a baby boy and named him Taimur. Although Kareena debuted in 2000, she earned critical acclaim in the movie Chameli where she portrayed the role of a sex worker. Besides acting, Kareena is a stage performer and has contributed as a co-author to three books: two nutritional guides and an autobiographical memoir.
