Box Office Report: Udta Punjab Inches Closer to 50 Crores!

Abhishek Chaubey's Udta Punjab has fared decently in its first week and the movie has been inching closer to the INR 50 crores mark. The movie has had steady collections over the first week and collected INR 47.50 crores.
The film has done close to the lifetime business of Shahid Kapoor's Haider. As expected, Udta Punjab is doing well in East Punjab and Delhi city. However, the second weekend will be crucial up there as Diljit Dosanjh's Sardaarji 2 has released, and the film is doing exceptionally well.
In hindi film, Udta Punjab doesn't have any competition till July 6, when Salman Khan and Anushka Sharma's Sultan hits the screens.
Udta Punjab stars Shahid Kapoor, Alia Bhatt, Kareena Kapoor Khan and Diljit Dosanjh in lead roles.
