Bala Movie Box Office Collection Day 1: Ayushman Khurrana starrer gets a decent start at ticket windows
Bala Box Office Collection: Ayushmann Khurrana’s recent release Bala opened to rave reviews from the audience and as per the early estimates, the movie has opened one a decent note.
After delivering two hits this year – Article 15 and Dream Girl, Ayushmann Khurrana is back to take over the box office with a storm with his recent release Bala. Helmed by Amar Kaushik, the movie deals with premature balding and has been creating the right amount of buzz among the cinebuffs. From the storyline to the trailer and the foot-tapping music, everything about the movie has managed to grab the attention. And as expected, the movie also managed to be a crowd puller and witnessed a decent occupancy as per the early estimates.

According to a report published in Box Office India, Bala opened to an occupancy of around 27.5% in the morning shows. Although it is lower than the occupancy of Ayushmann’s last release Dream Girl, the movie was expected to pick up during the evening shows. To recall, Dream Girl too struggled to open well outside multiplexes in A centres. But it managed to enjoy a dream run at the box office. Given the continuous buzz surrounding the movie, be it the controversy over the content or the interesting music, Bala is likely to open with good box office numbers.
It will be interestingly to see if it will be able to surpass the opening day collection of Dream Girl which was Rs. 10.05 crores. Besides, Bala’s will also be facing a competition with Sunny Singh’s Ujda Chaman which also deals with a similar topic. On the other hand, the online leak of this Amar Kaushik directorial might prove a hurdle in its dream run at the box office. Bala was made available for free download within hours of its release by piracy giant Tamilrockers.
