Dream Girl Box Office Collections Day 2: Ayushmann Khurrana registers BEST Saturday growth record of 2019

Ayushmann Khurrana is on fire! After delivering hits like Badhaai Ho and Article 15, the actor continues his winning streak with Dream Girl. The Raaj Shaandilyaa directorial sees Ayushmann essay the role of a call centre employee who can talk like a woman. The comedy film sees Ayushmann team up with Nushrat Bharucha for the first time. While the film opened at a high note on the day of its release, Dream Girl reached a new scale on Saturday, day 2.
According to Box Office India, Dream Girl collected a whopping Rs. 16 crore nett on Saturday, day 2. The film, which opened with a collection of Rs. 9.50 crore nett, witnessed a jaw-dropping jump of 70 per cent on Saturday. The first Saturday collections led to Dream Girl recording the best Saturday growth collections of the year. Dream Girl has now collected Rs. 25.50 crore nett in two days and is expected to collect an opening weekend collection of Rs. 45 crore nett.
Dream Girl is receiving appreciation from the audience. Several critics have also lauded the movie with good reviews. As per Pinkvilla review, "It's commendable for Ayushmann to experiment with such a role at this junction of his career, he proves yet again that he is a risk-taker. Nushrat Bharucha does justice to what was offered." It further adds, "The much-anticipated movie is as a massy entertainer with a high dose of humour would be. However, if you are in search of a film for your binge-watch session of light-hearted films, this one would land up as a one-time watch."
