Yash starrer KGF is one of the most expensive Kannada films which released at the box office on December 21, 2018, in a clash with Shah Rukh Khan's Zero. Even after 25 days of its release, KGF is breaking records at the box office like a boss. The film that has released in five languages including Hindi is also giving a tough competition to the new Bollywood film, Vicky Kaushal's Uri: The Surgical Strike. The Hindi version of the film is setting new records with each passing day.
The Hindi version of KGF has alone earned Rs 42 crores approx. In the first week, the much talked about Kannada film has earned Rs 21.45 crores, in the second week it had earned Rs 11.25 crores, Rs 7.44 crores in the third week and Rs 1.61 crores approx in the fourth week. Directed by Prashanth Neel, KGF is doing some outstanding business and it remains to see if the film has more records to set in the coming days. Down South, KGF has already become the fourth highest grosser of South Indian film industry barring 2.0 and Baahubali franchise.

Yash starrer has also set the new record of being the first Kannada movie to get a commercial release in Pakistan. The film has earned Rs 81 Lakhs on the first day of its release. The film has further earned Rs 1.06 crores and Rs 1.45 crore on the second and third day of its release, respectively.
