Luka Chuppi Weekend Box Office collection: Kartik Aaryan & Kriti Sanon’s film has an incredible start

Ever since the trailer of Kartik Aaryan and Kriti Sanon’s Luka Chuppi was dropped online, the buzz around the film has been at an all-time high, and now that the film has finally hit the theatres, fans are loving the rom-com. As the film deals with the topic of live-in relationship, the film has been pulling crowds and more so because the younger generation finds the topic of live-in relatable and fresh. While Luka Chuppi released on March 1, 2019, the film has done very well in its first weekend with collections of 30.50 crore nett.
Trade Analyst Taran Adarsh took to Twitter to declare that the film is a winner for its superb growth as he wrote, “#LukaChuppi emerges a winner... Shows superb growth on Day 2 and 3... Biz doubles at many screens on Day 3... Has 30 cr+ weekend... Will remain strong today due to partial holiday [#Mahashivratri]... Fri 8.01 cr, Sat 10.08 cr, Sun 14.04 cr. Total: 32.13 cr. India biz.” Besides Luka Chuppi doing great business, it is time for double celebrations for Kartik Aaryan as Luka Chuppi has become the biggest opening of his career having zoomed past his previous films such as Pyaar Ka Punchnama 2 (Rs 22.75 crore) and Sonu Ke Titu Ki Sweety (Rs 26.57 crore). While on Day 1, Luka Chuppi minted Rs 8.01 crores, on Day 2, the film had earned a total of 18.09 crores. 
Luka Chuppi stars Kriti Sanon, Kartik Aaryan, Vinay Pathak, Pankaj Tripathi and Aparshakti Khurana in pivotal roles. The film is directed by Laxman Utekar and produced by Dinesh Vijan and the film revolves around Guddu Shukla (Kartik Aaryan), a local reporter for a cable news channel who falls in love with a headstrong woman Rashmi Tiwari (Kriti Sanon). As a result, Kartik and Kriti opt for a live-in relationship, but things take an ugly turn when their families wrongly assume that they are married.
