@ cursednbroken... "I used the title because that was the hashtag his fans have been trending on twitter :)"
----> Oh, OK I see... well that was very generous of them. :)

@ "Who cares about the title....no actor/actress can have a blockbuster career."
----> I guess the fans who trended the title on twitter must care, or they wouldn't have trended it. But I agree with you, no actor/actress can have a blockbuster career. Everyone has highs and lows.

Who cares about the title....no actor/actress can have a blockbuster career. It is a big accomplishment to be the top layer of the industry even after 25 years. He is a legend respect that, if you can't stop visiting his articles, why do people have to be such haters.

  • cursednbroken's picture

True, the title is quite misleading. He had success early on, had a looooong period of flops, and only just regained standing in the industry when he started doing remakes of South Indian movies.

@He hasn't been blockbuster for 25 years, I remember the time when he was called flop actor and nobody was interested in him. Dabangg saved him and now he's praised by all. It's nice how he survived through highs and lows. Personally I don't like him both as actor and human being.
    --------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------
with that logic, no single actor is blockbuster, since they all have highs and lows. Not many people can say they have been in the industry for 25 years and been on that top layer throughout it. You forgot a little movie called "Wanted" before Dabangg and before that "Partner". Even when the guy is celebrating a big accomplishment like this, people have to be Haters, very pathetic.

It's so nice seeing a post on Salman that doesn't have a negative spin, thank you. 25 years later, he's still so lovable, still so good looking and still such a huge star. People who say he can't act never cease to amaze me. Andaz Apna Apna, MPK, HDDCS, Khamoshi, Tere Naam, Kyun Ki, Judwaa, Phir Milenge, Jaan E Mann, Dabangg- check them out. Have always loved his pairing with Rani. Fave films are Tere Naam, Kyun Ki, CCCC, KPNHJ, JEM, Dabangg, Partner, MPK and Baabul.
Utterly adore him for BH and all his charity work. But the best thing about him is his razor sharp wit and straight to your face attitude. There's no star like him. And genuinely don't think there ever will be.

I think he's a cool guy but he CANNOT act. Is there a film where he has really showed any acting skills? He plays it safe in every film - plays the same type of character every time. Have we ever seen him experiment or do a complex film? Nope but if this method has worked and still works, good for him.

His entry in Kuch Kuch made that movie for me and I wouldn't really call it a cameo. Like him onscreen, love him offscreen. I like pretty much every actor, I don't have favourites, but Being Human put him in a whole new level as a person for me. Admire him a lot for what he's done and how many people he's helped. He's raised so much awareness and his fans help spread that, which is good slap for people who say that celebs should be private about charity. If it can influence so many, I say do it in full view. And this is a really good post.

I admire him a lot for his charity work & big heart. Out of his movies I love Dabangg, Tere Naam, Chori Chori Chupke Chupke, Andaz Apna Apna, Khamoshi, Partner and Maine Pyar Kiya the most.

Wow, 25 years!! And he's still so handsome & awesome. I love his films but I think it's Being Human that I'm going remember him for the most. I live in London and I remember whenever we did charity events at school, people would always nominate Being Human as the charity we wanted to give the money to although it always lost out to something like Cancer Research. Just recently I read about his work at a cancer hospital & how he finances it and how much the kids love him.
