So I hear from my Salman Khan sources it was today when Salman Khan started the shoot for his first movie Biwi Ho To Aisi [Note: Movie was released in 1988 but the shooting started on 09/09/1987]. He sure has come a long way from that role. Here’s a look at Salman Khan’s 25 years in Bollywood.
Family: 27 December 1965, well let’s just say a famous superstar was born & he was none other than Salman Khan. Born to Salim & Salma Khan, Salman was destined to be a superstar. Today known as Yaaron ka yaar with a massive fan following Sallu bhai is loved by many in Bollywood & beyond.
Movies: While Biwi Ho to Aisi failed to create any hype, his next release Main Pyaar Kya did wonders. The dance moves, dialogues, songs everything worked perfectly and made him a superstar. This was yet followed by other great movies like Baaghi, Saajan, Hum Aapke Hai Koun, Andaz apna Apna, Karan Arjun, Jeet, Hum Dil and the list goes on. During these 25 years Salman Khan has attempted pretty much all genres of acting that Bollywood offers & has wonderfully done so. This brings us to the famous 100 crore club of Bollywood.
100 crore club: With Dabangg, Ready, Bodyguard & Ek tha Tiger crossing the 100cr mark, this is probably the best phrase in Salman Khan’s career. Four back to back 100cr movies, nobody could ask for anything better. He has also appeared in the highest grossing film eight separate years during his career, a record that remains unbroken.
Being Human: Salman has started an NGO called 'Being Human' which sells T-shirts and other products online and in stores. A portion of the sales goes to a worthy cause supporting the underprivileged. Being Human Foundation is a registered charitable trust set up by Salman Khan for helping the cause of the underprivileged.
Best-Looking Man: In 2004, he was voted seventh-best-looking man in the world and the best looking man in India by People magazine, USA. Salman also has a wax replica made of himself at the London Madame Tussauds making him the 4th Indian actor to have a wax statue.
Ups & Downs: As every other human being, Salman also had his fair share of ups & downs in his film career as well as personal life. Negligent driving, hunting of endangered species, relationship problems were all part of Salman Khan’s life in this last 25 years. In August 2011, Salman also admitted he suffers from Trigeminal Neuralgia.
Whats Next?: And the finally the question that remains, when are you getting married Salman? Though must say us fans love the bachelor status ;) As a critic once wrote “reviewing a Salman Khan film is like ironing a pair of jeans: really, what’s the point. People will watch it anyway”. Today Salman has reached a place in Bollywood which many crave for, yet Salman admits he is less bothered about this numbers game. Well we wish you all the happiness & greatness. As Salman says he makes movies for his audiences & what he fans would enjoy, I don’t think we can ask for anything more. Here’s wishing the best & only the best for the future. Love you lots Salman.

Other Indian forums also posted this article on their sites. Me feels proud :D
love u sallu
Salman always delivered hits, even in the so called bad phases of his career he kept giving hits and superhits..its just that he was doing too many films like 4-5 films a year some films are bound to fail...those were the films he should not have done in the first place because those were scripts that never deserved a superstar like him. In the 2000s he was consistant with superhits like Mujse Shaadi Karoge, Partner, No Entry, Wanted. Hits like - Har Dil Jo Pyar Karega, Chori Chori Chupke Chupke, Tere Naam, Garv: Pride and Honour, Lucky: No Time for Love, Hum Tumhare Hain Sanam, Baghban, Maine Pyaar Kyun Kiya? and Blockbusters like Dabangg, Ready, Bodyguard, Ek Tha Tiger - Which other actor has this many hits, superhits and blockbusters in the last decade, I not including films that were average/above average. The only difference in the last fews years is that he has cut down on the no.of films, working on only those films that he should really be doing, films that he believes are worth it. As far as popularity goes he was always the most polular star all through the 2000s in India (may be not overseas), which was proved by many a popularity poll and the fans standing outside his aptms to catch a glimse of him was always unmatched... and we always consistently heard about teenaged boys and girls running away from their homes to Mumbai only to meet Salman..but getting found by the cops and sent back home...honestly i have not heard such stories of fanaticism relating to any other star.
@kitty
found your comment in one of the posts which I came across and quite shocked on reading that. I really didn’t know about the PR machinery working around him. I haven't really followed his career much (have seen him in HDDCS ). Here in this post , really wanted to put that comment so that I ripped off part of your ‘s and posted here.
@anon 11.14 reply.:nly loosers doesnt needs award. if he doesnt want.award, y he accepted best supporting actor award fr kkhh. he nvr acted wonderful. hahk was mads movie. nd nw he belongs to class of sadakshap romeos dats y he doesnt fits into dignified ceremonies of awards
Dear God, they dragged Aish in here too? I give up.
It took this guy 25 years to give a few back to back hits, but that also came as mindless movies in which there is no acting and nothing good at all! What a shame! This is what happens to people who are born with silver spoons in their mouths and then they lose their way...20, 30, 40 years from now no one will remember Dabangg, Bodyguard, Ready, or Ek Tha Tiger! Salman Khan will be remembered more for his multiple broken relationships, his abuse of women, the murder of an innocent human being, and his being an alcoholic! The only two movies for which he will be mentioned as an actor will be Manine Pyar Kiya and Hum Aapke Hain Kaun, none of which were hits because of him. This will be the story of Bollywood actor Salman Khan that future generations will be hearing, as I said, what a total shame!
Salman is the biggest superstar ever. His star aura is undeniable and he's also a great actor.
Well done! Mwah!
this is only the beginning !
Ya, Great stuff bollywood lover.
enjoyed it, and congrats to Salman.

he had a crappy decade in most of the 2000's .He was all but written off, making substandard movies like Shaadi Kar Ke Phas Gaye Yaar, not even close to being on the same level with what SRK and Aamir were doing.
he is now here purely bcuz of his PR agent Reshma shetty..after all how many careers he has destroyed for his sake.

dear aish fan, please read the following messages by the masses....your comment is as stupid as the woman in your profile picture.....beautiful, but extremely and utterly stupid. You and the others can continue on with the criticism though, its only legends and people who are substantial to this industry who are always criticized. Go ahead, bark bark.

salman is not just loved by the masses as a superstar, he has proven
undying support for his friends too...he supported people like himesh,
sanjay Leela bhansali, Katrina kaif who owes a lot to salman for what
he did for her...and even after the break up he is still supporting her..
and most of all aishwarya got some biggest movies of her life due to
salman, devdaas and hum dil de chuke sanam...so there are too many people
in the industry who are enjoying the lime light because of salman...

Salman Khan - 25 years & still going strong, 8 biggest hits of the year (record), maximum all time blockbusters, only actor compared with stardom of Rajnikant (rajni is benchmark of megastardom), a star beyond hits & flops (unbelievable in todays competitive times), no big banners, encourages talent (bhansali, Kat, himesh, etc), philanthropist.. enough said. HE IS LEGEND!
Wow that's awesome... anonymous creepers waiting for my comment with bated breath are calling out for me! LOL I bet your day would not be complete unless I say something like "AND MAY HE ROT IN PRISON FOR THE NEXT 25 YEARS"... well nope I'm not gonna do that, not gonna feed the trolls today! Go to bed hungry! :) hehe
Besides I see SOMEONE already copy/pasted a part of my previous comment on to the page! Hahahaha... I better leave this topic before my ego swells too much! :)
40's-50's = Dilip Kumar
60's-70's = Rajesh Khanna
70's - 80's = Big B
90's - present = SALMAN KHAN
superstar for the common man, love him
Indeed Salman has come a long way ,but it's still nothing in compare to Mr. Rajesh Khanna.
No doubt about that Salman has kind of become a superstar now ,but only when he is approaching 50.
Kakaji had lots and lots more name and fame like 40 years back that too when he was under 30!!!
btw <3 Sallu keep ruling ,get some chicks preggers and make some babies so, they can carry your name.
spicylia: All of his recent films have earned more than 100 crores because of his PR agent? How does that make any sense? Mind explaining whose career did he exactly destroy for his own sake?

ooops will not get ny award frm filmfare like mads got. infact i suppose he has nvr got bst actor award.
------------
He wouldn't get any awards from filmfare - so what? He wouldn't die if he doesn't receive an award from filmfare; He is aware of the politics of the Bollywood film industry and it's not for his acting that he hasn't received a filmfare award - even from a very young age he was targetted. He acted brilliantly in Maine Pyar Kiya and also Hum Aapke Hain Koun and that's why Sooraj Barjatya can't let go of him. GREAT PEOPLE ARE ALWAYS FEARED AND TARGETTED AND HE IS ONE SUCH PERSON!!!
Watch these films who claim he doesn't act -
tere naam
saajan
phir milenge
JEM
london dreams
love
khamoshi
mpk
hahk
HDDCS
garv
veergati

baaghi

LOVE YOU SALMAN. BELIEVE IT OR NOT INTERNATIONAL MEDIA HAS DUBBED ONLY YOU AS THE BRAD PITT OF BOLLYWOOD AND NO OTHER ACTOR. YOU BOTH ARE SO SIMILAR FOR THE REASONS OF BEING THE HOTTEST ACTORS EVEN AT THE AGE OF 46, EXCELLENT HUMANITARIANS, EXCELLENT PEOPLE.
