Is Bipasha Basu's character in Raaz 3 based on Riya Sen?
Last couple of days have seen Ameesha Patel's name being dragged into the promotional campaign of Raaz 3. It has been made to believe that the film is based on her real life story with Vikram Bhatt. But when Joginder Tuteja from Bollywood Hungama revealed that Bipasha Basu is actually reprising the role of another heroine who was rumoured to be indulging in black magic, I started digging down the archives. During my research, I came across this Mid-day blind item that detailed the case of a heroine who was said to be indulging in black magic. It's pretty obvious that by "petite actress who dabbles with black magic", Mid-Day was referring to Riya Sen. So, what do you think Pinkvillans - Is Bipasha Basu's character in Raaz 3 based on Riya Sen?

I'm sure the black magic part is not inspired by any actress, that's just fantasy and fabrication for cinematic purposes. But I bet Vikram Bhatt did use Amisha as the reference point for the failing actress. Not that I agree with him doing it mind you, that's pretty cheap of him. But she almost deserves it after she acted in Ankahee which was believed to be based loosely on Vikram's relationship with Sushmita Sen. How could a woman do that to another woman, I mean act in a film that negatively portrays your man's ex in a film? So cheap. So I guess if Amisha is negatively portrayed in Raaz 3 she had it coming. And if this IS true Vikram is a loser! What's with these B grade Bhatts, Mahesh Bhatt also made Woh Lamhe based on his ex Parveen Babi...

Vikram bhatt said it is based on actresses like Ameesha Patel and Preity Zinta who are seeing downfall. But if people like Preity Zinta hear him and even if she makes pennies on her movie what stops her from saying it was a blockbuster? Is anyone going to take pictures that the cinema halls were empty. No nah. So Preity can always come and claim anything and talk of women's empowerment and Vikram will have to eat his words.

Bengali woman are often knw to do black magic, (not saying all do it) I mean I highly doubt someone has educated (Boston Uni.) as Ameesha, no matter how cheap she is wouldn't do that. Getting around in bed is enough for her. But if Riya has done that, shame shame man. I didn't love her, but I always found her stunning. God hope Rimi sen doesn't do it, I really love her
Arre Raaz 3 is not based on Ameesha... The relationship with between Emraan and Bips in the film (of a director and his actress) is similar to Vikram and Ameesha. Otherwise Vikram clarified it in the article, he is not saying Ameesha is evil and he is still fond of her. Mahesh Bhatt uncle is just bitter, he thinks Ameesha is the reason why Vikram and him fought way back.

Never heard Riya Sen do it she is not in that bad a shape. But Ameesha may have done it her life has visibly gone from bad to worse but like a fool instead of marrying any man who will give her a wife status she prefers to be pursue an imaginery career and be viewed as a sl*t. So also with Preity Zinta who has become a big loser in everything thanks to those Chandraswami meetings that backfired badly and that punching attitude.

@BipashaFan I'm on the floor rolling and laughing. It makes me wanna see Raaz 3 more now. The Bhatt's have already done a film with Ameesha Patel 'Ankahee' which was supposedly based on the SushVikram affair, why would they now do a film about her? That Bhatt camp always takes it to the next level and all evidence is pointing directly at another Sen.

Black magic is huge in Bollywood. Most actors and especially actresses going to religious places is not just for their success but definitely for black magic too. There are all sorts of babas in India willing to do the impossible for big bucks. To defeat their competition and make them number one by hook or by crook. I have never been able to understand totally bizarre and out of the norm behavior of some established actors. They seem under the influence of voodoo and black magic.

I don't know about Riya but they have def. based it on Ameesha. Its sad they are using Ameesha's names in their interviews. Vikram Bhatts latest IV talks more about Ameesha's struggle thn the movie or bips. Also Manesh Bhatt talked more about when Ameesha and Vikram started dating etc.
Its about time they started promoting the movie using the cast, instead of using Ameesha's name. Cheap publicity much.
