Dream Projects: Veer (Salman), Ra.One (Shahrukh), Agent Vinod (Saif)
Veer - Salman Khan's dream project came in the year 2010 co-starring newcomer Zarine Khan. It was one of the most anticipated movies of 2010 as the story of the movie was written by salman himself. The film was directed by Anil Sharma who gave blockbuster Gadar. Despite the hype the movie only managed to do Below Average Business at box office Ra.One - Shahrukh Khan's dream project was none other than Ra.one, said to be bollywood's big superhero movie, ra.one was eagerly waited for. Ra.one was directed by Anubhav Sinha who directed Dus. Kareena Kapoor & Arjun Rampal were seen alone side SRK in the movie. Made on a big budget Ra.one managed to get a Hit status at box office Agent Vinod - Next on the list is Saif Ali Khan's as Kareena says baby Agent Vinod. After been delayed from 2011 to 2012, AV finally got released on 23/03/2012. The movie opened to mixed reviews from critics and managed to make 9.50 crores on its first day. Though the collection is not that bad, for a big budget movie like AV, much more was expected. Sriram Raghavan directed AV who gave critical hits like Ek Hasina Thi and Johnny Gaddar. Thoughts on bollywood's dream projects?

To the anon below: Boss if RaOne was flop, then Veer was a DISASTER! What high ticket pricing are you talking about? When did Veer release.... In 1940? Salman didn't promote Veer? Stop being biased if a movie is good people will watch like Kahani, NOKJ, PST etc., if its not irrespective of Khan / Kumar / Devgn / Kapoor it will flop!!
ra.one is a flop where distrbutors lose alot of money..every site declare it flop except the biased BOI...if salman did half of the promotion and holidays period,high ticket price for veer ...veer will be an ATBB ..and i want to slap the person that say that ra.one grossed 240cr bcos it only grossed 202cr with bodyguard being the highest 2011 grosser..so wake up from ur dream

thrice of them are flopped.These old uncles try to do action ,but always failed.Only Hrithik Roshan is extraordinary actor.Saw AGNEEPATH again and again my mind is just blown away by all performances.It was not OTT stylish,crazzy fizz like above mentioned movies and here it wins!!!

yeah the directors put a hell lot of passion behind them but they go overboard on money and fail to focus on the plot. What about aamir khans or farhan akhtars dream project films?

Many of you have not seen the movie but commenting with your hate blogs. I have seen it and it is above average movie... the problem is that it is very lengthy and progression seem to be on a slow pace, and some scenes could have been shortened. Besides that, the action, cinematography, direction and performances were very good. Hateful comments should not be avoided because it incites ignorance and stupidity. Anyone with some intelligent should watch something before listening to hateful garbage from losers.

these actors spend all the budget and the attention trying to upstage the competition/making themselves relevant again/trying to create a legacy that they lose sight of the the single important thing which can make or break a film, the script. Shahrukh and Saif went all overboard talking about sequels, mass marketing the film, and bringing on board video game tie-ins and what not. Salman tried to 'write' a film. No one wants to see a sequel of a movie which they didn't like. I'm not saying all ambitious films are bad, look at avatar for instance, but these actors who produce their films are very tunnel visioned when it comes to their films.

Ra One is an average film. Only BOI rated it hit as they were paid to uplift SRK films from day one. Every trade analyst has rated it average to below average. And in public perception it's a disaster. No wonder it's winning Ghantas and Golden Kelas!

Ra.One is not a Hit. It cost 150 cr and made about 110 cr. The movie distributors lost money even if the producers (SRK) made movie from selling rights.
Veer is also a flop not below average. What the hell is below average anyway? Every movie that fails is below average.

Ra.One was really amazing movie....i've watched it many times....but i agree that the audiance is very ungradfull, im not indian or pakk but i loved Ra.One !
