Freida Pinto credits Kareena Kapoor
Looks like Kareena Kapoor has got herself another fan – and this one is none other than Freida Pinto. In an interview to an international magazine, Freida had some good things to say about Kareena – like how she’s responsible for how much women get paid in Bollywood. Here’s what she said to Flaunt Magazine: Talking about Kareena Kapoor, Freida Pinto says: "Now, it seems to me, even taking Indian cinema in consideration, I feel like this year we have kind of experienced a shift in humanity. In India, actually, there has been a large disparity in how much a female and male actor gets paid, but this year, one actress changed all that," She also wants to meet Kareena during her next India trip, as she’s a big fan and has watched Kurbaan several times on DVD.

Sorry my darling "swEATty" (sweety) its vidya balan in my pov..not tht Kareena Kapoor is bad either, but I think in this generation vidya is slightly better......my HONEY BONEY :) Btw, who the hell cares about wht Freida Pinto says? LOL? she doesnt knw how to act herself. Kareena Kapoor is billion times btr than Freida Pinto! It is not like the compliment came from "Marilyn Monroe!" bcoz tht would have been a different case...lol

Btw....just to mention, I think as someone has mentioned, it is not exactly tht Vidya Balan is the first woman to change viewpoints about women! Nandita Das, Tabu, etc ...also equally deserves this tag-line!

From what I do remember is that Kareena made a huge fuss about her signing amounts and even refused to work with Karan Johar over this issue. So while we can debate all day long over this I do think even in her own arrogance Kareena did at atleast try to fight for better wages.

Priyanka is a highest paid actress of bollywood and she did get 9 crores for zanjeer. She is definitely a better actress than kareena. What sought of game changer kareena actually is? She has just brought a trend of how to ride your career on the shoulders of others success. Individualy she is just overrated. If she is working with srk, amir or salman those movies grosses 100 crores where she was just eye candy otherwise look at EMAEK and agent vinod they didnt gross 50 crores where she was actualy acting. With heroine its a sure flop because of khan.
Her "praising" a bollywood actress is another roundabout way to say bad things about bollywood and India.
Both Vidya & Kareena are great actresses & both deserve the title of being game changers-Kareena for demanding a higher price & her share of profits from the film & Vidya for bringing female-centric films back into vogue & becoming an A-list actress despite being unconventional. While Vidya's tour de force performances are Kahaani & Dirty Picture so is Jab We Met & Chameli a landmark for Kareena. Both of them are beautiful,successful & both rockkkkkk. I love both Vidya & Kareena very much,no one can compete with them. So plz stop this dhishoom-dhishoom between fans. If Freida has called Kareena a game changer then she must have a solid reason.

If you follow the link, you will find a hilariously titled article "Freida Pinto Thanks Kareena Kapoor... For Her Paycheck!" LMAO. Next you will find the FP quote about "one actress changed all that" but surprise, surprise, she does not mention Kareena, Kurbaan, or wanting to meet anyone in a quote, that part was added in later by "a little birdie" (aka the writer who imagined that FP was actually thanking Kareena for her paycheque). LOL we'll see what the *actual* interview says when it actually comes out. Nice try Kareena! ;)
Some people here are reacting as if they've been bitten. Really, this is absurd. One celebrity makes a comment about another celebrity, and it's a big deal. If they speak their mind, they're wrong by some made up standard. If they are dishonest, then they're fake. We're so hard to please :)
No, its not kareena. She should praise vidya for that.
I think even Kareena herself knows that this title belongs to Vidya(I think there's even an interview where she says that Vidya is the hero).While personally I believe Kareena is a gr8 actress Vidya is the best of recent times cause she's been able to be both commercial & critical. It was Vidya who brought back women centric films in vogue & I really think she should be paid more than many others. But I also agree that Kareena is very successful as far as being paid. I like Kareena but this belongs to Vidya. But I don't understand this praise about PC? Half her films are flops,except Fashion her acting is fake,& even her supposedly women centric films are flops. Compared to her Kareena is 100x better while Vidya is in a league of her own.

vidya is the one who changed everything this year...kareena herself admitted this,that vidya was the biggest star of 2011.
kareena may be getting more money...but vidya is way ahead in terms of acting talent.
till date,i have liked kareena in three movies only....chameli,jab we met and kurbaan.....other than that,i don't think much of her as an actress...she's good,but stands nowhere in front of vidya.

TRUE. Kareena does 20-minute cameo roles of vapid 'glamourous' girls who appear only for a song-and-dance numbers.
It's Vidya who in recent times, is the only heroine to carry an entire movie on her shoulders and make them HITS. All that without help from the khans and other superstars.

I don't know where FP got her info from but there is still a huge disparity between hero and heroine's paycheques, unless of course the hero is not as well known or if he is doing a cameo or a lesser role. I doubt she's the type to stupidly believe Bollywood stars' PR articles and even still nothing of the sort has been reported. The higher-paid heroes still wield a lot of power on a project which does not stop at the paycheque. She knows much better, the real money is in Hollywood which is one of the reasons why she's there!
Kurbaan was indeed a nice movie. I had liked it.

And yes, Vidya I agree wifh u, but pc has no talent or looks.
Remember she claimed herself to be #1 in SKM and it was the biggest flop.
