Have Shahrukh-Salman gained from their rivalry?
Who says rivalry is bad? Ask Shahrukh Khan and Salman Khan, and the two shining stars of Bollywood would agree that sometimes it’s not! Apart from their films, the ongoing tussle between the two seems to have added value to their brands. Rather than as individuals, the two have prevailed also in the industry as the fighting greats. Looking at the huge fan-following for SRK and Salman, media has been very much interested in covering this high-profile rivalry and fans too have been hungry for every small and big twist in this enmity between the two Khans. And whenever people feel that enough blood has been shed, the fame of the two friends-turned-foes appears with more glitters. The rivalry that started around four years back has reached the level where both the stars can’t see eye to eye. Nobody knows as how the two Khans take this enmity personally, but one thing is for sure that this hate story has provided plenty of opportunities to both of them to cash in on the hype. The two biggest stars of Bollywood don’t hesitate to keep the fire of uncertainty burning for their millions and millions of fans. On one hand they start a new chapter of hate, while on the other they express good feeling for each other, leaving their fans puzzled. The two Khans neither badmouth each other nor wash their dirty linen in the public. They would challenge each other before the release of a film and end up imitating popular scenes from the rival’s film after its release. But are the two Khans really interested in a truce? The stories of competition between them give people the opportunity to discuss and compare them. People love them, hate them, but can’t ignore them. The conflict between the two increases their visibility in the market. Their rivalry keeps making the buzz, thus complimenting the brand value of both the actors. Before every new release of any one of them, trade pundits come up with the statistics of their last performances and expectations. Even Aamir Khan finds no place in the discussion when it’s about Shahrukh and Salman. Today, both Shahrukh and Salman don’t seem to have any problem with this rivalry as far as it helps their respective careers scale a new height. And for fans, rather than watching the two Khans hugging each other, the stories of their rivalry are the more interesting stuff to read. So what do you think ? Has the rivalry between the 2 Khans helped them more than it has hurt them ?

lol the only person who has gained from this is Salman Khan as SRK has always been on top (and Sallu fans please don't ignore this fact because you can go to www.indianboxoffice.com and check out top actors for the last twenty years list - SRK is number 1, eleven times and Salman is is number 1 only one time).
Lets look at the facts, when four years ago this whole thing started SRK was on top of his career (as he had been since he first burst on the seen in 1992). Sallu had a number of flops and few hit/semi hit movies in between 97-2007. He probably went to SRK is Katrina's party and begged him to create this whole drama so he can use SRK's name to publicize himself. Since Sallu and his family had helped SRK in the early part of his career, SRK probably agreed and this whole thing started.
Look at what SRK has made Sallu into now and they probably even laugh about it!

dont agree....they are always seem pissed off when asked about each other they always give politically correct answers so it doesn't make any headline news.
They are not out to get one another (as far as I know, especially not Salman) and so no one has really gained anything from the rivalry. They are not friends and that's just that. It doesn't have to be a big deal, but media makes it that way. Move on..
They're both IDIOTS. SRK has made his $$$$ by doing at least 20 films where he's the same character. One of his few good movies was Chak de India. He comes off as arrogant with the whole 'King Khan' self-proclaimed tag. He's aging badly and not at all attractive. If you look at his pictures with that talentless bimbo Kaif on the sets of their London movie, you'll see an old guy with lots of forehead wrinkles and big old honking nose. In general he's not attractive (certainly not like Roshan). Salman - where do we even begin. He's contributed nothing to cinema except strip shows in brainless movies. Off screen, his life's been a mess as his actions have shown blatent irresponsibility - running his car into a shop, killing one person and injuring 3, hunting chinkaras, the list goes on. They're both 40+ year old BOYS who refuse to grow up! Why are they fighting like children in a school yard?
The larger problem at hand is the Indian audience who worships their stars blindly and feeds off this stuff for drama. Every little tidbit must be overanalyzed by stupid channels like NDTV or some celebrity scoop magazine. It's a viscious circle.
Oh, and before I get a bunch of hate-filled posts from their blind fans, please remember that this is a PUBLIC FORUM where ALL opinions are allowed - it is NOT a fansite. So, if all you're going to do is call me a 'hater' or some moronic term that fans usually do, save yourself the trouble. Go do your worshipping elsewhere.

No they have gained nothing personally. BUT MEDIA has gained a lot by publishing news related to their fictional rivalry and made a lot of money.
People are taking this salman- srk fight way too far! Everyone from me to you has had some sort of falling out with a friend heck even i have stopped talking to an old fridnd of mine. Its NO big deal sh!t happens Zmove on

I THINK IT HAS HELP THEM A LOT. THEY ARE STILL IN THE NEWS MORE THAN EVER. I LOVE THEM COS THEY ARE MOSLEMS. THEIR FIGHTING MAKES THE INDUSTRY MORE ENTERTAINING. I LIKE IT WHEN EACH FAN TRY 2 DEFEND HIS/ HER STAR. THAT'S WHY I LIKE AISH POST TOO. IS MORE ENTERTAINING THAN THE OTHERS.
Fighting is never good for no one, I would love them to be friends again
