Barfi! makes 100 cr worldwide; Heroine makes Rs. 25 crores
Heroine has earned Rs. 25 crores over the weekend, which according to noted film critic Taran Adarsh , is a good figure for a standalone film. Barfi, starring Ranbir and Priyanka, has built upon its strong opening and its worldwide collections have surged beyond the Rs. 100 crore mark in just ten days. The film earned Rs. 17.1 crores in the second weekend, described as ‘Extraordinary’ by Taran. Heroine’s performance was described as healthy but Taran noted that the jump in business was missing. The film earned 7.5 crores, 8.5 crores and 9 crores from Friday to Sunday.

i knew it that barfi will rock it.it is very beautiful movie with the most talented actr ranbir kapoor in it besides that heroine with a sleeping story.loved barfi!!!!!!!!!!!

Welcome to the party Ranbir! Finally a film truly +100 crores worthy!! As for Heroine, Madhur should be glad that despite the raw deal he has given to his cast, the movie is still faring well. All credit to Kareena! The kapoor cousins took the cake! And we have seen how a solo PC movie is received, saat khoon maaf & what's your rashee. The less said is better. :-)

While the business is much higher than Madhur Bhandarkar's previous heroine-centric film FASHION, the weekend business is ahead of THE DIRTY PICTURE as well [in key markets], also a heroine-centric film. The opening weekend business [all markets combined] of HEROINE is approx $ 1.45 million [Rs 7.75 crores] ... BARFI! is faring exceptionally well in the international arena, with U.S.A. alone crossing the $ 2 million mark on Monday. Super Hit!

u can't equate the two (USA BO and Indian BO) as the gross income for both countries is different.
Its funny to see Kareena's fans telling "Critics were paid to bring Heroine down".
Are u mad? Or just sick of obsession for her?
Out of 10critics almost 8 or them gave a REJECTION to Heroine.
And IMDB cannot be paid. Go check HEROINE's ratings there. Its rated 5.4 out of 10 LOL. Thats is ONLY 2.5 stars on 5.
She cant dance nor can she act to save her life. She lives on the mercy of Khans.
And Heroine released in 2400Screens!! Thats almost the same as the number of screens Agneepath released, 2650.
Agneepath with all its hype made 21.60Crores on opening day.
Heroine was promoted as much as Agneepath was promoted, or you should say HEROINE was OVERHYPED and it still made ONLY 7.5Crore on opening Friday.
And this Monday it made 3.75Crores, a big fall of 65percent. Its a FLOP.
And for your information, the same Monday (yesterday, 2nd monday for Barfi), Barfi made 3.25Crores. Just 50lakhs less than Heroine even though Barfi running in hardly half the number of screens Heroine is running.
Clearly you know which movie audiences has accepted and which movie audiences has REJECTED.
People watched Heroine because of the Hype and not because of Kareena.
Main reason for the hype was :-
1) Over Promotion, they were all over India and U.A.E
2) Kareena making controvesial statements about other actress's movies and getting the headlines like that.
3) The replacement of Aiswarya Rai had created headlines and anticipation.
4) In one way Vidya Balan contributed to the hype. Her heroine centric movies had won audiences heart or atleast set the cash registers flying high. This had helped in making the People more interested or confident in Heroine centric movies.
This HYPE is what helped Heroine get a 25Crore weekend , and it is too LOW because it released in 2400Screens.
Jism 2 released in half number of this screens, but gained 12Crore on opening day.
So if you tell that Kareena is what attracted audiences to theatre , i will have to say that in that the Jism 2 actress attracts the audience more than Kareena.
HEROINE IS A BAD FILM... BORING INDEED...
Please kareena's fans accept a fact because a fact is a fact no need for explanation kareena has more flops than hits in her career apart from the khans hit or a story hit like jab we me nothing to her credit because she can do nothing
ok.. whats all this kareena bashing?? it seems bashers havent seen 'heroine'.. its a bad film salvaged only by kareena's acting ..so if the film has done well ..all credit goes to kareena.. i cannot imagine any other heroine, except perhaps a balan to bring those kind of collections by herself..actually balan's films have been benefited by great story and good direction as well.. but heroine was just a pathetic film.. i wanted to throw tomatoes at madhur bhandarkar for his laziness and regression..
Top heroine is always debatable but Heroine is a plus for Kareena as a 7 crore opening is huge for any film where only the heroine is providing face value. The 7 crore number has come with a film like Heroine so with a more mass audience friendly film where she is the only star the opening can be much higher .
Hate her as much as you want, she is the HEROINE ;)

Heroine didnt make the same amount of money like TDP but still the numbers shown for Heroine is much better than other movies in bollywood with big stars. Lets not get into that right?

OKAY WE KNOW 100 CRORE IS ALOT FOR PEOPLE IN INDIA. BUT FOR PEOPLE IN USA THAT AMOUNT IS NOTHING. WE HAVE SEEN FILMS WITH GREATER BOX OFFICE THAN ANY OTHER FILMS IN THE WORLD. TITANIC WAS THE FIRST FILM TO REACH THE 1 BILLION DOLLAR CLUB, THEN FOLLOWED SO MANY OTHERS.
PEOPLE SUPPORT BAFI BECAUSE THEY WANT TO SUPPORT RANBIR AND MAKE HIS FILMS A HIT. KARAN REGRET PUTTING HER IN AGNEEPATH. AND DON 2 WAS A SUCCESS BECAUSE OF SHAH RUKH. PRIYANKA ONLY GOT LUCKY.
