'Ishkq in Paris' release postponed to November 2, tweets Preity
'Ishkq in Paris', a film produced by Preity Zinta was supposed to release on September 21, 2012 and later postponed to October 5, 2012. However, as per Preity's tweet, the release is further postponed. She tweeted, "More Time is required 4 the Post Production of #Ishkqinparis so decided 2 postpone the release 2 the 2nd of NOV! 2 much 2 do n 2 little time " Preity is playing the main lead in the film and it is regarded as her big comeback after a long break. Interestingly, October 5, 2012 is also the release date of Sridevi's big comeback film English Vinglish which has created quite a buzz everywhere. Looking at the bright side, we don't have to choose between the two much-awaited films to catch the first day, first show!

Preity Zinta is a huge Sridevi fan and I respect her decision. Of course Sridevi is a crowd puller when it comes to acting and her films always make an impact.
I want both their films to be successful.

somehow the movie IIP reminds me of that jhoom brabar jhoom movie.. story line looks quite similar... if PZ wanted a comeback she should have opted for a perhaps different subject with a better actor... i believe none of the A listers wanted to work in her movie but she cd have cast some good actors like irfan khan or perhaps even abhay deol etc and made a sensible movie... this screams trashy.... even the songs are pathetic...

I understand her move. Even Salman's magic in IIP is not working before Sridevi's English Vinglish.

What post production? Preity's postponed her film because Sridevi's English Vinglish is garnering all the interest while her film has got a thanda response.
Sridevi's mega comeback has scared not one but 4 films. Initially 6 films were scheduled to release on Oct 5. Yes. 6 films!!! Apart from English Vinglish, the other five films were Chakravyuh, KLPD, Jayanta Bhai ki Love Story, 1920-Evil Returns and Ishkq in Paris. Once the buzz for Sridevi's film started growing, other films began getting cold feet. Chakravyuh was the first to be postponed. Then 1920 followed suit. Soon news came that Vivek spoke to both his producers and got Jayanta Bhai postponed. Now IIP has also bowed out. This is called a POWER COMEBACK. Hail Sridevi the Superstar.

i read somewhere that preity is highly into drugs..even during the making of this movie she often used to take break to go bath room. and she comes back as a different person.. i can see it from her face also.

when you compare English Vinglish and Ishq in Paris, the differences are obvious.
EV looks like a quality product, high budget, good story line, family friendly and a good story.
IIP looks incredibly tacky, low budget, bad cast, PZ dressed as a teenager and is ultimately a film about a one night stand. Also, the music sucks.
There is no way this is going to end well for PZ. What kind of post production could a love story need??? Its a lie.
Look at YRF who haven't even completed shooting JTHJ but will release is on schedule, as a love story rarely needs any post production. (other than just the regular editing etc)
it is never a good thing when a film is postponed after it has finished filming and is indicative of deeper problems. look at Talaash.
I don't think that she would postpone her film to avoid English Vinglish, the films seem different enough from each other. But if she says she needs more time for post-production I'll take her word for it. First time producer and all. If she's not ready, she's not ready. If time is gonna help the final product be a better one, then take all the time you need, PZ! :)

I feel besides that the major, more significant reason is that Heroine is releasing on 21st September - it would probably not bode well for her comeback film to release on the same day as what's touted to be a big film, Heroine. I say smart move, PZ!
