I was browsing through comments on Pinkvilla and came across this comment where someone commented that you can spot Kiran Rao in Dil Chata Hai.
I went back to my Dil Chahta Hai DVD and scanned through the movie and hallelujah I found her. She comes in the Goa hotel checkin scene where she is spotted with the girl(Deepa) who is passionately behind Aamir's character in the movie.
So this is Kiran Rao's little known Bollywood debut albeit a small role. Did anyone else know that?

hey smita! i made that comment and i'm so glad that you researched on it:) i have watched DCH many times but noticed Kiran Rao in two scenes only last week..one, while when they are checking in at the hotel, and two, while playing volleyball on the beach..
The girl in the red dress in Qayamat Se Qayamat Takk was his first wife not Kiran Rao his secodn wife .... this is Kiran Rao. Gets your facts right.

Yes it's Kiran Rao. She's even listed in the end credits in Dil Chaita Hai. So they knew each other before Lagaan.
yes I knew it..and that's becuase once Aamir was doing his interview with Rajiv Masand (i think during 3 idiots promotions) and Rajiv was going thru some landmark movies of Aamir and showed this snippet of DCH. Aamir asked to rewind and play it again, and then told everyone that the girl wearing yellow sarong was Kiran -:)

Ha ha I remember this scene. It's before the girl on the left goes all "Akaaaaash!" on Aamir. I also remember Aamir making a show host pause this scene just to show off her wife's beauty to the public. :-)
