Madhuri Prefers Professional Managers Over Rakeshnath For Her Bollywood Comeback
Madhuri Dixit owes her superstardom not just to her talent but also to the efforts put in by her long time manager Rakeshnath. Even Madhuri has credited her manager for his role in her spectacular success. However, insiders say that his 27-year stint as manager to Madhuri Dixit is coming to an end. Sources indicate that Madhuri's husband wants her to be managed by a professional career management firm during her second entry in Bollywood. Surprisingly, Madhuri has agreed with her husband and has decided to give her long time Man-Friday a skip. The two may have parted ways but TOI reports that the two still hold each other in high esteem. There seems to be no animosity or hard feelings in both the parties. Madhuri helped organize Rikku's, as he is fondly called, 60th birthday party. Insiders say that Rikku too was unhappy with his limited powers after the actress returned from USA. Madhuri's husband is taking a keen interest in her second stint and is in charge of all financial matters, something which used to be taken care of by Rikku in the past. Will professional managers help Madhuri get a better deal in Bollywood again?

Wonder what career Madhuri is talking about? As it is post Aaja Nachle no one wants to make a film with her. She has been in India for months now and not a single big project.
Rikku actually used Madhuri's name to make n sell those trashy movies like 'Aarzoo' , 'Mohabbatein' , 'Dil tera aashique' etc.....as Madhuri was not from a filmy family n was quite 'seedhi sadhi' so everybody around her used her name n popularity be it Subhash ghai, Saroj khan or Rikku Rakeshnath...everybody took credit for her grand success as she always maintained dignified silence or she said great things about these guys. Sridevi, Aish , Priyanka have been very smart ....Madhuri was not. Thank god she made her first smart move by firing Rikku. He won't let Madhuri do anything except 'Jhalak dikhla jas' as he gets great commission. Thank god finally she's in safe hands

Madhuri endoring dishwash, salman/srk/saif endorsing cheap underwear...the best of all karishma endorisng a toilet clearner. lol :D Its hilarious wat these so called super stars can do for money. :D

Madhuri is right. She should move with the time. Moreover I heard Rikku never let talented directors (who can't make big budget films) to even have a script hearing session with Madhuri. Sanjay Leela Bhansali himself told this. SLB couldn't get to even speak with Madhuri until he became a big name after 'Hum dil de chuke sanam' .Bhansali wrote both the female lead characters (Khamoshi & HDDCS) keeping Madhuri in mind but she was totally unreachable thanks to Rikku.
Rikku's stature was like a Superstar during Madhuri heydays. He got much more from Madhuri than he gave to her. So, it's not true to say that Madhuri got all those great offers only because of Rikku. Infact she lost many good opportunities because of this man.

I agree with u. I read in a magazine the same thing. Rikku was so rude to small budget film makers. His stature was even higher than a SRK during the peak of Madhuri era. At that time, all khans even put together were not comparable to Madhuri's box office appeal, forget the heroines. Rikku wasted Masdhuri's talent, her time and money by making her work in his stupid n senseless movies like 'Aarzoo' , 'Mohabbat' etc ...his entire family gained from Madhuri's name n power/....even Rikku's daughter got to design for Madhuri in Jhalak dikhla ja & other public events, a big break for a new comer...n just like Rikku, his daughter proved worthless...she gave such hideous clothes to a gorgeous woman like Madhuri

This will take her even higher and I predict super great things for MD in movies, ad world, endorsements and shows in next 5 years.

Times have changed, I can't blame her.
In the age of corporate cinema, most of the top stars have opted for professional management which understands the issues of brand. These firms provide a strong value proposition along with complete transparency. Madhuri's star rightfully belongs to her. Any decisions she makes should be in her best interests. The previous models of secretaries who had their own agendas and double dealt has passed as evidenced in numerous cases.
Madhuri Ji needs to sign 5 films so at least one of them by chance would click. that is what she used to do before. With every five flops by chance one would click due to an item songs or being multi starrer. but now it is very difficult because no one wants to see her doing item songs. though she said already that she would not mind even doing "BOLD" songs. but who want to see her doing Sheela ki Jawani etc?? As for acting, that was never her forte. and she can never depend on a skill she does not have. So the movie has to be a pure masala commercial. Who will back her? Not critics for sure. They never were impressed with her mediocre acts. People who know about real cinema and acting would not go for her. Those who want item songs they are not interested watching a 40 plus age old lady dancing on Jawani or hawas songs as younger actresses are there. So she has very limited chances to succeed. Rikku cannot hype her anymore in the age of twitter, facebook and online marketing. So she DUMPED him shamelessly with no hesitation to claim her lost and deteriorating fake popularity forgetting that what worked in the 90s of doing vulgar songs will not work now because the market are full of younger and more beautiful girls who are ready to do anything.

Yes today PR managers are play the most important role of an actors career. So its really important to get professional pr team.
Madhuri's superstardom is 'ONLY' the result of her talent and hardwork. All the support that Rikku has provided to Madhuri all these years has been really great. But it has also come with a string of movies produced by him which added nothing but more flops to Madhuri's filmography. Had she not done those films produced by Rikku, her filmography would have looked even better. All those people who keep accusing Madhuri of being stuck in the 90's should now support her decision of making this much needed change. All the best to her and hoping to see her in grand projects worthy of her stature.

Well, Rikku has aged and if he has no hard feelings about this, then I guess all's well. As the article states, he too was unhappy with his limited powers in Bollywood and many new and wanted female faces have taken up Bollywood. It doesn't seem that Madhuri is having an easy-in into the industry all over again in which case, a reputed management company can help her.
I dont think her husband has any experience in this field as he is firstly a doctor by profession and secondly does not understand the movie business very much. Now how does anonymous know that Rikku never let good scripts come to Madhuri???She needs to have a good strategy plan ahead and wait and watch what janta wants from her....The dhak dhak days are gone,and the dhak dhak population is gone too.Madhuri needs to do something different from the majority of bollywood women..
This is a good move from Madhuri and her husband. Rikku never let good scripts come to Madhuri, he was always interested in commercial projects. Hopefully, this professional career management firm will get Madhuri the scripts she really deserves. My full support to Madhuri
