Mumbai Mirror Reports: Kareena has bagged the Karan Johar & Ekta Kapoor joint venture
In December last year, Karan Johar and Ekta Kapoor, the filmmakers who are also best friends, had announced their co-production venture. However, the leading lady for the ambitious project remained undecided. Reportedly, Kareena Kapoor and Katrina Kaif were both being considered for the project. And now, Mumbai Mirror has learnt that Bebo has won the battle. Kareena, who had reportedly opted out of two major projects - Rohit Shetty’s Chennai Express and Milan Luthria’s Once upon A Time In Mumbaai Part 2 recently, surely had bigger plans up her sleeve. A source close to the film told the newspaper, “Kareena has bagged a very big role in this film. Currently, she is Karan’s favourite. He was very happy with her performance in Ek Main Aur Ekk Tu, directed by Shakun Batra.” In fact, Karan and Ekta have apparently had plans to work together for a very long time. The film that has finally realised their dream will be directed by newbie Akshay Roy. It will go on floors by December, this year. Karan and Ekta, who have been meeting rather frequently to discuss the film, plan to finish the casting of their co-production by the end of this month. Our source revealed, “Both Balaji and Dharma are considering Emraan Hashmi for the male lead. In fact, Emraan has recently signed his first Dharma production to be directed by Rensil D’Silva.” **I really hope this news is true, have always said would love to see Emraan & Kareena work togather. Lets hope its happening for real now.

who knew a girl who couldnt act 10 years ago (and still cannot act) is getting every bwood role now. can we please have real actresses again? I cannot stand another "model turned", "from bwood family", "former beauty queen", etc who do not know A about Acting, and only get roles thanks to their so called beauty and ass kissing abilities. Where are my Sridevis and Madhuris and Kajols gone where acting is natural and instinct based, and not just learning lines off a script. ?!
Like her or not Kareena is last actress from the early 2000s brigade working regularly and her time is about to cut short because the ageist Indian audiences frankly can't stand women in their 30s as actresses. Looking at the comments on her movie with Imran people are starting to call her old which is a death sentence for a bollywood career (Ashwariya is a freaking miracle. God knows how that woman does it).
Rani, Preity people have been forced into retirement and so will Kareena so it's good she can bag the big ones before fading out.
1 billion people in India and every film goes to Kareena. Come on.

Karan needs to use someone else other than kareena...pc has delivered two solid hits recently for him, kajols released a blockbuster, while Bebo has 2 flops and one semi-hit (with Dharma)

Whatever happened to doing the professional thing and letting the director or producer announce confirmed projects? Some actors are always so leaky...

I think that's this rumored movie for Kareena and Salman, many speak about their pairing again, their jodi works in bodyguard, it will work in this movie as well with geniouse producers of course
