Parineeti left with no film offers
Parineeti Chopra debuted with a small role in 'Ladies V/Ricky Bal' and went on to bag the main lead in 'Ishaqzaade'. She earned good reviews in both these movies. It is thus surprising that she has currently no takers! As per Mid-day reports, she had a three-film deal with Yash Raj Films. That means one film is still pending. However, we have not yet heard any announcements on this yet. A source reported to Mid-day, "There was a great deal of speculation that she would be cast in Atul Sabharwal's film produced by Aditya Chopra and starring Arjun Kapoor. But the makers decided to take newcomer Sasha Agha, daughter of Salma Agha. There was also buzz about her being part of Abhinav Kashyap's next with Ranbir Kapoor. However Ranbir walked out and the project is at a standstill". The source adds, "The same is the case with Maneesh Sharma's film with Shahid Kapoor which was to be produced by Yash Raj. Shahid decided to opt out leaving the project in a limbo". Do you want to watch Parineeti soon on the big screen? I sure do. I am sure she will soon get offers as she is one talented girl and is here to stay.

parineeti will steal the show ,if anyone were to work with her.Only a confident hero can work with him...Spineless heroes :D
I ll be really happy to not see her in films anymore..Saw in the events surrounding an awards ceremony overseas. And she was not pleasant at all. Plus there many other better looking actresses than her.
oh dear......this is not good news. I'm egarly awaiting to see her in more movies :((
it's funny because they keep offering katrina, sonam and decide to not offer a talented actress any movies.
parineeti is not good looking and doesnt have sex appeal which is highly required to be a bollywood heroine..dont know what her future is but she is talented gal and can act well ..maybe will do much better in charater roles
@pizzapasta Are you kidding me? Both Vidya and Parineeti would jump at the chance of being SRK/Aamir/Salman's arm candy anyday (well Vidya admitted so) but it's just that they look like and that's why they aren't being hired to star next to them
@Mystic Rose & anons below I've never really forgotten that Vidya tried & failed miserably in rom coms like Kismat Konnection,Heyy Baby, etc, however she did learn from her mistakes and is now one of the best in the business. She might not be the best actress in the world but she's not as ppl say "overrated".People find her to be a "bland"actress probably because she's the only one who doesn't associate good acting with overacting & OTT.She got her well earned recognition pretty late after lots of hardwork & loads of criticism,& she's enjoying it right now. Its not just the her performances but the sheer no. of her women centric films becoming hits at the BO.Well but that's just my opinion. And that wasn't really the point of my comment. My point was to say that actresses like Vidya & Parineeti who don't fit into the conventional mould of a Bollywood actress,& have to slog their asses off to push past glam queens & get to the top.
Parineeti has so much potential.I hope she gets noticed soon by some good filmmakers.cause she's an amazing actress.and hope that she loses just a few pounds.
to me she comes across as someone with limited range- always playing the bubbly Punjabi girl with fast speech.
Ohh no poor girl...!!! She is so bubbly.. full of life!!! Loved her in Ishaqzaade!! Hope she will come with gud projects..
i think the fact that parineeti doesn't look like some botoxed bimbo is really refreshing. she may be average to others, but i really like her girl-next-door looks. it's something different, i can relate to her better and think she's really cute in a non superficial way. she's like a breath of fresh air with oodles of talent and hope she gets good work very soon! xxx
I agree, Bolly Freak, Parineeti is a very very talented girl. This is just a phase. People walk out, and sometimes one is not the right fit for the role. I'd not worry if I were Parineeti. She has raw, natural talent. People would be foolish to not cast her. I'd definitely like to see Parineeti. She has spunk and emotionality.
Well said PizzaPasta !!
Gosh, you're name is making me hungry now :(
Oh my.. her breasts look squashed in that dress. too tight???
Bollywood has been invaded by glamorous model types like Sonam, Deepika, Katrina , Anushka etc. Now there's even more newcomers like Alia, Sasha Agha (apparently), Diana Penty and more.
But Parineeti has enough talent to last a couple more years at least. So I'm sure this is only a temporary glitch.
Really sad...but she can only do simple girl next door kind of characters, I doubt her in sexy or glamorous avataars....let's see, she might surprise us. But she is hugely talented for sure.
She looks so ordinary.......i dont think she is going to last long in the Industry.
She reportedly has a 3 film deal with YRF which is not over yet so why all this fuss? She just started her career for gosh sakes, and her performances have been appreciated, so there's no need for such weird conclusions... give her space and let her grow as an artist, people!
@PizzaPasta: Agree completely with your last comment!

People should stop casting her, Sonam Kapoor, Shraddha, and all these dimwits who cannot act or show any talent, and are in movies for money and glamour. The worst of them being Sonam who lands films due to her father's influence in the industry when she herself makes the audience cringe with her acting, and then goes around calling herself a superstar. Same should happen with Alia Bhatt too. All these wannabes with filmy connections need a reality check!

Spot on!
Oh & I more thing guys.Nor am I a fan of @Pinkvilla_Boy's comments or his blind bias for Kareena(even though she's my favourite). Neither do I particularly support his comment based on "star quality"here. But even then questioning and insulting somebody else's sexuality is extrememly offensive and sick. How can u question some stranger over the net's sexuality without knowing anything about him,& how pathetic can u be to question it due to the reason that he visits Pinkvilla and comments constantly on it?For all we know you girls might be visiting some male website and commenting on it. Let the poor guy do whatever he wants, who are u to question it on a public platform? Once again I'm not defending him & nor do I support his views on some matters but this idiotic gender bias on your part can get you in jail.
Agree with you @PizzaPasta
Only Vidya did try to follow the herd (Kismet Connection, Hey Baby and the numerous attempts at looking young and hot and then blaiming her directors and Manish Malhotra for not showing her in the right light) but it didn't work out and I'm glad shes finally realized that acting is more important than being on the best dressed lists.
Parineeti is still young, I'm sure she'll develop her own sense of style (whatever that may be) and either lose the baby fat or decide to embrace it, I just hope she doesn't lose her identity in the process and stays true to herself.
@pizzapasta I think vidya is good actress however, I do think she is at times over-rated because she, according to me, is good but not great performer. I was shocked when they awarded her with best actress for Paa:( U talked about how she chose to take her career in different aspect by doing hatke roles n not one of those typical glamorous roles. Well I think u forget how she did try to enact lather kind of roles which sadly flopped terribly. I do give it to her that when they started criticizing her awful "Western" looks she quickly & wisely decided to change to Indian looks. She looks old but beautiful in indian attires. Pv plz post my comment ;D
In some post other post on PV I read that "Parineeti is walking on the steps of Vidya Balan. Not concerned about their clothes but performances."Not saying that Vidya's not pretty, she's actually a really beautiful woman with curves & feminine features. If she wanted to be glam I'm sure she could, but she chose not to follow herd mentality. At a time when most other actresses are contended being Khan's arm candies, she actually has the guts to accept so many heroine centric films,& instead of concentrating on her appearances in events & magazine covers she chose instead to give performance par excellence in one film after the other. About 2-3 yrs back people used to just criticize Vidya for her bad dressing sense, today nobody speaks about her without mentioning her unique and dazzling talent as an actress. If Parineeti is indeed going to walk on Vidya's footsteps and be concerned about her performances more than anything else, then I'm sure her time will come as soon as possible. She might not have glamour or star quality but she's one heck of a natural & spontaneous actress,& in due time I'm sure her true talent might get noticed. Actresses like Vidya,Rani,Parineeti take some time to bag plump offers & become a big, established star because they're probably the only actresses in Bollywood who are known solely on the basis of their acting talent and not their clothes or boyfriends. It sure takes effort from them to rush past 0 talent bimbos to become a top star, but when they do that there's no stopping them.I'm sure Parineeti will find some nice film offers soon:-)
err she may have talent but she has no looks..and bollywood
is all about glamour baby!
@pinkvilla_boy: i'll take one parineeti over a thousand deepikas, sonams & anushkas. you can keep your so-called superficial "star quality", give me true kickass talent any day!
This girl has so much potential, she can sing, she has good screen presence, overall positive attitude. Thought she would have many movies in the pipeline. It's a cliche, but it's true, good things come to those to wait. With the right director, script she will be snapped up in no time!
She might lack star quality but this girl can really act, which is more than I can say of most Bollywood actresses. I would love to see her in more movies! Heck, I would even pay the $15 to go watch the movie in theatre to watch her (instead of waiting for DVD to come)
Not surprised. Even after 15 - 20 years, only khan heroes and kapoor girl gets offers after offers. Some Akshay kumar survived but he has been there for long also. New comers need a lot of influence and luck.
the fact that today, Katrina and Sonam are getting so many films, even Deepika and this poor talented girl is jobless, thats just sad
Even Anushka in some parts. All these Yash Raj girls who can act are always typecast by YRF and only by them, no one else takes them, why is that??
(Besides Anu in Patila House which was avg and her role was typical side punjabi girl)
