Will you judge Jism 2 and its viewers?
Jism 2 storyline has a porn star being hired by a dashing officer to trap a dreaded assasin ...just like the makers have hired porn star Sunny Leone to trap the audience into the world of sexy moments. Well, that does seem a little judgmental but given the sexy promos, there is no doubt that the makers want to make it clear that there are lots of HOT moments through the movie. What we are wondering is that, what is the kind of market that this film is aiming at? Jism did have its share of such moments but there was John and there was Bipasha..and there was their incredible chemistry! So, will you go to Jism 2 expecting some sparkling chemistry? or just to get a 'good' sight of sexy Sunny? Will you go to watch a charming love story? ...more importantly, will you go with your head high ? Also, if Jism 2 becomes a hit, will it give a leeway for porn-like movies to enter mainstream Bollywood? It will be real interesting to analyze this! Pooja Bhatt did announce that only 'asexual' songs will be featured on T.V as the censor board gave it an 'A' certificate. Also, it is apparent that the makers are not too happy with the censor board decision. On a different note, all this in some way does leave a warm feeling in the heart. You know why? When the movies around the world ..read Hollywood..are filled with French kisses and 'convincing' love making scenes, we are still troubled with Jism 2s and Sunny Leones. Guess we will always be Bollywood at heart.

Good discussion buddy. All those love making scenes in Hollywood are accepted by the western society. Obviously, India and the rest of South Asian viewers of bollywood are not ready to accept it. I don't think that drawing a comparison between hollywood and bollywood is apt in this matter since both the industries cater to different types of audiences. An example in the hindsight is in western societies, couples walking around holding hands, kissing and even having a making out session is not considered a taboo. I've heard of many cases in India and some have been reported in newspapers where the police have intervened when a couple seemed to cosy up in public. Obviously, there's a vast difference between soocietal morals and cultural values.
It takes a 100 years of sustained effort to bring a category of ill-treated , neglected lot of people to mainstream society to help them live a dignified life and just 1 greed driven act to cause a setback
Just a 100-150 yrs ago, women in india were pushed into burning pyres, denied education, a right to living,
property, had to endure living in humiliating relationships with polygamous husbands etc. and just when the 1900s seemed to be making major headway in the quality of lives women lived thanks to the collective effort of 'women power' in democratic India , here comes the internet, porn, mahesh and pooja bhatt............
A new demon to battle! add that to the list.
If there is nothing wrong with porn or stripping women on screen, why didn't mahesh bhatt make jism with pooja? Or any one of the bhatt women? They are all 'liberated' , aren't they? The double standards these bhatts engage in makes me cringe...........
I sincerely hope and pray that this film fails. That it bombs. That it doesn't set a precedent for more sleazeballs to follow. That, magically , all Indians choose to walk away from a film that is setting a dangerous precedent . That every Indian man sees a daughter, mother or sister in sunny leone. That we choose to save our society and honour the years of effort put in to better the lives of women. That we teach the likes of mahesh and pooja bhatt a memorable lesson in respecting women .
i totally judge her... (i know i shouldn't but can't help it) Why would any woman with any self-respect choose porn as a career? UNLESS they were made to do it at gun point or something... I don't see any reason for any woman to do this to herself.
i don't really know what you're asking...whether we are planning on watching jism 2 or not?
it saddens me a lot everyone loved Indian cinema because of the emotional stories
and family ties and traditional dance and other but all this has changed with
stupid Comedy Movies heroine does not know how to even change the expressions of her face
and now a porn star !!!do not blame the director if the film succeeded
Because everyone knows what will pay to watch.
The difference between Hollywood and Bollywood is that A) the mainstream actresses are NOT porn stars and B) they are *actresses*... not porn stars hired for sex appeal alone.
