Ra.One - What are your expectations ?
Ra.One, India’s most expensive movie to date releases this Diwali. The Dubai premiere is tomorrow (24th October) and I am guessing the reviews are going to start trickling in soon. The buzz surrounding this movie is huge as this is a SRK movie after nearly 2 years and this also happens to be a Diwali week. The movie has SRK as G.one/ Shekhar Subramaniam, Kareena Kapoor as Sonia Subramaniam and Arjun Rampal as Ra.One. The movie will release in 2D and 3D formats and will be dubbed in Tamil, Telugu and German. For special apperances, the movie has roped in south star Rajnikanth who plays his character Chitti from Robot. We then have Priyanka Chopra who plays the damsel in distress, Sanjay Dutt as Khal Nayak and Amitabh Bachchan has a voice over in the movie. Unlike any other movie in recent times, the first look poster of Ra.One was released by SRK on Jan 1, 2011, 9 months prior to the release date. The official music launch of the movie was in September but Akon’s Chammak Challo leaked online months before and took the nation by storm. The total budget of the movie is estimated to be 155 crore INR. Ra.One set a new record for total pre-release revenue earned netting 132 crores. The big question now is will Ra.One love up to the hype it has created. Let’s wait and watch!. One more day to go. I am sure everyone of you is going to watch this one. Coming to my question - What are your expectations from this much awaited Diwali release.

where is the source/credit for this review?? I did a search for the movie's reviews and found none...please dont try to sabotage the movie
The movie rights sold for 100 cr n SRK is making money by selling Ra 1 games, outfits etc. That is how 132 cr is already recovered. If we go by logic then SRK will atleast recover what he invested. He is a business man n knows what he is doing. Even if half of his fans go n watch the movie it will be a hit.

It has already probably recovered all its production cost prior to release. I think it will be a mega, big, huge blockbuster and a super duper hit! It will break ALL records!

Ra One is a sci-fi movie based on Gaming, Bad Guys and Super Heroes.
In the movie Shahrukh Khan plays the role of a father who is trying hard to ‘fit-in’ in his Son’s bad-ass world- A son … trying hard to ‘dude-up’ his dad from ‘aiiiyyyo’ to ‘yo!’ And a mother lost in translation between her husband’s ‘ingeva’ and her son’s ‘Inn’it!’
While Shekhar was trying every trick in the book to woo his son, get ‘dude-ified’ and ‘up his coolness quotient’ his son had given up on him..
Just when the father-son duo hit a deadlock- Shekhar strikes gold when he designs one hell of a game..
Finally it all starts falling in place…as the family comes together….only to find themselves in the middle of a crash, not just a hard drive crash but a crash that would drive them to a disaster and make their lives go – Kaboom!!!
All hell breaks loose when – the game that was meant to be played with… starts playing them… shah rukh khan in his G-ONE avatar doesn’t looks like a HERO… shah rukh khan’s SHEKHAR avatar is very unnatural…(i mean no one is so foolish as its shown in the movie) shah rukh khan disappoints. the main character of the movie RA-ONE is good but too Hindi movie type villain. The only one who stands out in this DUMB movie is Kareena Kapoor. she is beautiful n good. Overall the movie falls flat on its face. The climax of the movie is very irritating. The drawback of this movie is also its songs. There was no need of “Chammak Challo” song before the climax. the songs is put in the movie deliberately. The graphics of the movie are same as “Superman” which was released in 1980.
Final Verdict-
Don’t waste your money on this without brain movie. Watch “Margin Call” instead of this bad one.

I have NO expctations. Who knows how the film is? But I will go watch it because of SRK the king! But not going with any expectations. I prefer being realistic and being taken by surprise.

Chances are its gonna sink, but fingers crossed for SRK, for his sake I hope it does well.

It is not India's ''first superhero'' film. Krissh and Koi Mil Gaya were already mega hit superhero films. Earliest one was Mr. India, which was unique concept and way ahead of the times in which it released.
I guess it'll break all the records of Abhishek's Bacchan's past Flops lol!! Arjun Rampal's halloween costume makes me wanna laugh ma a** off !!seriously Happy Halloween Ra.one =Ra.none expectations

the expectations are huge...lovers and haters alike are gonna throng the cinema halls. Records shall keep breaking...and in the end the KING shall rightfully be back on his throne.
My expectations
To see Srk in lots n lots of makeup even mre makeup thn kareena thts incase no one noticed it!!! To hear tht its the biggist flop..
What so great about the story, same old one, just made on a bigger scale, doesnt change the fact that we have herad/seen/watched these type of films million times-.-

Great story, Mindblowing special effects, Attractive Scenes with full of Colors, Excellent Dialogue dilivery by Shah Rukh Khan, Entertaining songs & dance with some jokes fun & love scenes ;-]

1-Biggest ever film made in India in terms of budget, vfx, technology, and everything else!
2-The film has songs by Akon and the music is already super duper hit!
3-The marketing for this film has been unparalleled in India!
4-India's first ever superhero movie!
5-First ever 3D movie in India!
6-Releasing in record number of theatres in India and rest of the world!
7-It has some of India's top stars: Kareena Kapoor, Arjun Rampal, Sanjay Dutt, Priyanka Chopra, Rajnikanth, Amitabh Bachchan!
8-And finally, it has King Khan in it, who is literally the heartthrob of BILLIONS the world over! His lovers are way way wayyyyyyyyyyyy more than his haters. Women especially love him to bits! Lets face it, every woman wishes she was Gauri Khan! :P
