Ra.one's ideas lifted from Robot and other Superhero films?
The first 30 second trailer of the much awaited RA.One was released today, but it opened to rather mixed reactions. I found some obvious similarities between many Superhero films and this one. Of all the movies, it seems to have been influenced by the Rajni-Ash starrer 'Robot' (Endhiran) the most. Even months before, media had come out with stories that RA.one is a mishmash of Robot and Toonpur Ka Superhero. Ahhh,Aish fans,no hate,but you think everything is lifted off her right. One,they movie is not even out yet to actually judge, as for the action scenes,we can give you similar scenes in Dhoom,D2,Khilda,Terminator,Iron Man,many other action movies,they are typically scenes.They are Action Movies
Robot was actually about a Robot,a Scientist who makes a Robot who goes evil,thats the basic. Ra.1 is generally about a man with super powers,like a superhero who goes against a villain Arjun Rampal.Srk,personally suits the role well,Rajni looked to old.Plus it had him in double role too,srk is not.They are different man

Wow, this is amazing. Cannot believe people in Bollywood have stooped so low. When you have 150cr budget, you don't have ideas. And when you don't have ideas you copy!
I'd rather watch Robo again than watching it's copy.

You are a blind SRK fan and hence anything else with which he doesn't associate automatically becomes crap to you. Robot was the nearest we could go to to HW standards. It had mindboggling VFX. It didn't become the highest grossing Indian film ever, just like that!
This looks like a silly video game, very honestly!

But too bad, Shankar was only casting his first choice for the film, Aishwarya Rai.
So the media can't wait to rip him up just from a 30 second trailer. This makes me ill, that this was an actual article in a newspaper. As several others have said - every superhero film has the same elements of action - every superhero film in Hollywood is the same as the next one, but people still go to watch these films because that's what they love and expect from such films. Why do people keep insisting on bashing up Bollywood? This is what is missing sometimes in our nation - there's no solidarity. We're always the first to bring our own people down. Shame.

Dont call them Similarities coz ra.one sequences look far far better and international.....just accept that media n other sites cant bare the fact tht Srk is making such a fantastic movie
All superhero films always have something in common. That's nothing new. What I'm positive about is that this will be the best superhero film to come out of India for sure. Robot's effects, and Krissh's effects were very cheesy. Ra. 1's effects already look so much better than those two films. Also, Shahrukh Khan is just fabulous!
