Gabbar Singh is the telegu remake of Salman Khan's blockbuster hit Dabangg. The film features Pawan Kalyan as the lead hero while Shruti Haasan will be essaying the role played by Sonakshi Sinha.

Basically in the south they want their heroines fair skinned and pretty, but their heroes are always average so as not to alienate the male viewers. pfft.
