Shahrukh Khan speaks up on the Wankhede Stadium controversy
At a press conference held at his residence, Mannat, Shahrukh tried to clear the air on the Wankhede Stadium controversy. The officials had accused him of entering the grounds and misbehaving with them. They were also planning to ban him from entering the stadium, for good. As per Shahrukh, when he went to the changing room to visit the players, the children who had accompanied him to the stadium went downstairs and were apparently waiting for him at the grounds. As Shahrukh looked down, he saw that the officials were "manhandling" these little children. He also said that everyone is aware of the behavior of people at cricket grounds. As per Shahrukh, the children were not even on the pitch, they were at the side, which should not have been a problem. Well, Shahrukh rushed down and before he knew it they all were surrounded by aggressive officials swearing at them. Shahrukh retaliated and the tiffs began... Again, we come back to the same questions. Are celebrities soft targets? or are celebrities spoilt for not having to obey many rules? Whatever it is, the matter could definitely have been dealt with in a more dignified way. Also, if we go by what SRK says, it *is* awful to behave with children in such a ruthless manner, isn't it? In Shahrukh's words: “I had gone to pick up my children who were there to watch the match. I went there, congratulated my team and when I came back, I saw that there a gentleman was manhandling the children. They were pushing little girls. I just told him that this is not the way to behave. I won’t deny that I could have said something in a fit of anger, but I will not apologise. I don’t think that my behaviour was incorrect or I did something illegal. I think what I did was correct. They are my kids and I have a responsibility towards them. I will not apologise. They (officials) should apologise to me." "He (the official) spoke something in Marathi, something which I can’t even repeat… I said he should not speak to me like this. It is extremely disturbing to see the way they manhandled children. Their behaviour is unpardonable. They were extremely highhanded". “We are public figures. We are actors and we will never ever behave rudely. There was no argument with the cops. They were just trying to control the fight. They said, ‘Aap ghar jao hum dekh lenge’.” “I was not drunk. I just drink socially. It is an easy way to pick on the celebrities and say things like that they were drunk or were angry.”

She shove the kids to him, for him to take care of ( I guess he was enjoying his life to the fullest, while biwi Gauri was taking care of the kids, home, staff, and his sister.Now, look how difficult for a superstar to take care of one kid for few days.!!! Listen guys, if I think SRK made a mistake I will say so... like I said, it's my opinion that both parties should accept responsibility/fault for things getting out of hand. If I think that way that doesn't mean that I will rip his posters down from my wall. Now if he goes around killing people I might reconsider! ;) Even though SRK is King Khan he is still entitled to make a mistake now and then, he just had an argument, so what! You guys are funny! :)

first Shahrukh khan comes up with publicity stunts that show him as being a bad guy.then, the very next day, he apologizes or clarifies it all up. hes a smart man. he gets publicity all while looking like a good guy. he should go on a vacation. i think all the work is really weighing in on him.

Well I have yet to come across an unbiased person on pink villa but regardless I am a big fan of SRK and I think he overreacted to the situation. I really doubt the kids were being injured but maybe his ego was being injured. He needs to chill IMO.

With all due respect Kitty, no you are NOT a big SRK fan! Please don't fool yourself. I am not saying a fan should be blind and worship the star, but a fan should actually see things for what they are after careful observation and analysis. A true SRK fan will look at his life, his story, his journey, his good behaviour before this which is exemplary, and his many other good traits and also how he is viewed among his colleagues and friends and then will make his/her mind on whether SRK is at fault or not. You don't have to be biased in this or be a blind fan. Anyone who has come across SRK even for 1 minute has said that the man is probably one of the best men that exist on this earth. Then how can such a great man get so angry??? Clearly something wrong happened, something that provoked him so much that even a person like SRK couldn't control his temper. And why criticize him so much? He is a human being after all and will lose his temper when provoked, like the rest of us!
Times are tough for King Khan, but it is good cause it is during this kind of times that REAL BIG fans will be differentiated from fair weather fans. And you dear Kitty are one of those fair weather fans! But don't worry, SRK has billions (not just millions) of the REAL BIG fans all around the globe and he does not need a few fair weather fans who like him when he is going through a good phase and then come to criticize him without careful consideration and blame him for "injured ego" when he is going through a tough time when every single person in Mumbai appears to be after him and wanting and hate him, sadly!

Just tell me what did SRK mean when he said during his press conference that a MCA guy came from behind and gave an abuse and then he said that "things like that shouldn’t be said in this day and age in India but I don’ t want to elaborate on it"??? And what did the father of one of the kids present with SRK at the stadium mean when he said that "the abuses used by them (MCA), if ever revealed, will have hell breaking loose. Shah Rukh Khan has shown great maturity and understanding in keeping silent"????
It can't be more clear that before the MCA ppl started their recording, they said a racial slur to SRK! You want the man to keep quiet and just walk away when he is given a racial slur??? You want him to keep quiet and walk away when his children are manhandled???
That might be your standards and how you might behave in such a situation, like cowards! But SRK is no coward and he absolutely did the right thing! Billions of his fans worldwide support him, so baseless criticism of a few of you doesn't matter at all!

And what about the part that they said something very offensive to SRK (all indications point to a racial comment) and provoked him before they started recording??? You think the recording is the whole story? Clearly not, they are the ones who started the recording when they had done their nasty deeds and they are the ones who distributed this doctored recording to news channels.
Let me tell you what happens in the real world: 1) any caring father would react if he sees his children are unfairly treated in a bad manner (and we all know what kind of sensitive, caring, and protective father SRK is given he lost his own parents at a young age and that has made him super protective of his own children) 2) any human being will get angry and react if he is given racial abuses. And SRK is also a human being and he will react like a human being. So please stop the hypocritical comments.

My question there are pics of him flaunting his teams victory on the ground in an empty stadium!!
if the security did abuse kids and he saw that coming from upstairs and got upset and got into brawl when did he actually go into the ground take those pics???

Please don't come here and say hindus and other minorities made him a star, his success is not something he's got as a charity - the point is he's rweally really good and that's why he's a star. It is true that he has faced discrimination because of his religion before so these same people would have been gunning for him. I have seen the way some of the govt officials are, especially the lowly ones. They are really disgusting ( not all, moajority I would say) and lack basic manners.
These people who manhandled his children would obviously have known who they were. Obviously there's some ulterior motive behid their actions.
However, I feel SRK should have lodged complaints againt them formally and not got into a scuffle with these sick people who don't know how to treat children.

Not only did they provoke him, not only did they misbehave with his children, it is now slowly coming out that the MCA did this cause they had other reasons.
Apparently the cop who was all over the news who is also a member of the MCA, he wanted his son to play for KKR, SRK rejected, so the cop wanted to take revenge.
Also, SRK rejected to pose for photos and sign autograph for the guests of the MCA officials cause he was in a mood to celebrate his team's win and also was in a hurry to go to the hotel to meet the rest of his team members. That also pissed off MCA officials and they wanted to take revenge.
So basically, those nasty people framed SRK and then provoked him by abusing him and by misbehaving with his kids! How utterly disgusting! SHAME MCA SHAME! And that corrupt cop should be fired ASAP by Mumbai Police!

He should have shown more restraint no matter the provocation. He is an IPL co- owner which comes with a lot of prestige and responsibility. He should have walked away not get into the gutter with these officials who were obviously miffed their team had lost. Afterwards send a formal complaint to the Mumbai Cricket Ass. for investigation.
