Just a fun post on what's your first bollywood memory/moment. Might be a movie you saw, star you met, song you heard etc...
*The first thing that comes to my mind regarding my first BW memory is Kuch Kuch Hota Hai. When Kajol is leaving on the train and Shahrukh & Rani come to get her. I don't even remember Rani or SRK much but I can still picture myself watching that scene hiding behind the cushion and balling my eyes out cause Kajol was crying :P All I can remember is Kajol in that white dress & short hair.
So thats my first memory of BW, Whats yours? Time to Share :D

My first Bollywood moment was as with many ppl on this post with SRK. I was just 2-3yrs old when Yes Boss released and I could not even utter a single word but I could very clearly say Shah Rukh Khan.Later my mum took me to Dil To Pagal Hai and I used to sing "Chak Dhoom Dhoom" all day long, and my mother had to sing the song like a lullaby for putting me to sleep! From that day I fell in love with Madhuri too but my favourite actor ever and my childhood memory will always remain SRK. I just had one wish of seeing him with my own eyes, and by gods grace even that was fulfilled recently. You rock King Khan!!!!!!!!

The ethereal Sridevi looking like an apsara in Yash Chopra's immortal fairytale classic 'Chandni.' Still remember that face and those eyes. Sridevi was something else man!!!
Not a movie but the first Bollywood stuff i saw is Sreedevi's song Khuda Gawah from the film Khuda Gawah.
i don't remember what film i watched but my mom says that i was obsessed with srk form the age of 2 i started collecting his postcards at the age of 4 and i still have them.
ddlj 5 years back
when kuch kuch hota hai came out i was about 5/6 years old...i used to beg my elder sister to sing that title song while me all the time. i still remember how i had a big crush on shahrukh khan. i know it's strange but more than his looks i was attracted to his name...that name SHAH RUKH KHAN still gives me goose bumps!

oh god! aahha
First memory is Hum Aap Ke Hain Kaun as a kid.. I remember going to the theatre with my WHOLE family, which is totally rare. That's all I can vaguely remember.
love this comment.Near10 years ago my favorite movie was kabhi khushi kabhi gham and it was the first hindi film i saw.i like that because of srk.thank u bollywood lover that help me remember my childhood memories.
I live in Indonesia. Back then, if you turn the TV On (like it or not) after school = Bollywood/mandarin.
I don't exactly remember the first movie but I remember seeing Amitabh Bachchan, Jeetendra, Vinod Khanna, also Rekha, Sridevi, Karishma kapoor, madhuri. I remember the young SRK, Aksay kumar & Anil Kapoor (which surprisingly kinda look exactly the same as he is now:p ).
But the one that really makes me in love with BW is none other than Kuch Kuch Hota Hai. I remember we watched the VCD together with our cousins, and boy everyone is in tears << Oh btw those neon clothes is back in trend :))) >>. Then comes Kabhi Khushi Kabhie Gham, pheww! crying out loud is a modest way to described the scenes haha. And I'm a KJo fans since that.
Mine is mohra and Imtihan, since then, I start loving RAVEENA.
top films/moments for most were from MPK, DDLJ, HAHK, KKHH, Salman and SRK rock !
Tujhe dekha to ye jaana sanam... The moment my friends and I all fell in love with SRK. We still love him!
I was around 6 and my dad took me to watch China Gate ... I remember watching the Chama Chama song ... However I slept throughout the rest of the film ! Amazingly my mum had packed my pillow and blanket - You always gotta trust a mother's instincts aye :)
Love the post Zee ! :)
MPK !
Without a doubt, it was Maine Pyar Kiya. It blew me away, and I fell in love with Salman Khan, he seemed like a dream, an ideal bf. It was my first 'grown up ' film and I remember sitting in the theater wishing the film would never end . Lol.
<3
Love the comments here. Thanks guys, loved all the stories :-)
Hum Aapke Hai Kaun, Andaaz Apna Apna and Mohabbatein! Constantly were on replay for me! :D
oooh lovely post!!
well my childhood bollywood memories...
First one is about Hum Aapke Hain Kon..we had it in video cassette...even my daddu loved it...i remember when we used to go somewhere my dada abbu always used to told us to put on the "madhuri's movie"
and the other memory i have is when we used to go at my nani's home we all cousins used to watch main pyaar kia because my sister loved it..actually it was "kabootar jaa jaa" for us..hehehe..my nani's neighbor has it and we always send our cousins to their home to ask if they can borrow it to us!! hehehehhe
Mine has to be Dil to Pagal Hai. I remember watching it in the cinema hall and the climax dance etc was so fabulous. Srk and Mads were to die for and the music was a rage. That and Titanic are my first memories of Cinema.Kuch Kuch Hota Hai comes a close second along with Mann which i liked because of the lovely songs that i had to listen to during a road trip.
My first moment was Dhoom II (a movie suggested by a friend) which eventually took me on a journey to Chicago, where I met and spoke with Shahrukh Khan.
.------------------------
You are lucky ,spoke with shahukhkhan,I really envy you,my man
I think I was 7 .. My dad took me to watch China Gate.. All I remember is watching the Chama Chama song and I slept throughout the rest of the film (My mum had packed a pillow and a blanket - somehow she knew that I would not be awake - You always gotta trust a mother's instincts aye) :)
Lovin' this post Zee ! :)
Mine is also Kuch Kuch Hota Hai. What a movie. The train scene was so so moving. It is also the first time I'd seen Rani on the big screen, and she completley captivated me!
mine was actually raja hindustani... i just remember the ride to the movie theater and i was in the back seat and it was my first bollywood movie and i was curious as to what we were about to watch and i asked my mom who was in the front passenger seat if the actress in the movie was pretty. and she said yes she is very pretty. that's bascially it, but its funny now to know that she was referring to karishma kapoor.
my childhood yadein would be if i remember watching
hum hein rahi pyar kay
i was in love with juhi chawala at that time :P
MY BAD!!!!
hum aapke hain kaun
MAINE PYAR KIYA !
Hum apke hai Kaun...???
My real life bollywood moment happend here in the states,
I was visiting a Mandir and it's an open mandir like the ones in India,
i was praying and I noticed this cute guy that kept on noticing me ... and I realized he was behind me praying at mandir and then all of a sudden the wind blew and my dupatta almost fell on him and i caught it, and we're both staring at eachother lol
