SONAM DOES DONATE BUT HUNDREDS OF PEOPLE SUPPORTING IS BETTER THAN JUST ONE!! IT CREATES AWARENESS!!
Her aunt did not die from breast cancer but her best friend's mother did. I appreciate what she is doing. Its quite a nice plan. I know a lot of people don't like her but the negativity at everything she does in this site is getting a little out of control. She is raising money to create breast cancer awareness. You know to organize awareness programs, to help fund research facilities one needs money. So this campaign is not pointless. Its driven by a good cause. If you don't want to help that's different. At least don't downgrade a good deed on a person's part just because you don't like him or her. Its silly and pathetic. Personally I am not a fan of Sonam but what she is doing to promote breast cancer awareness cause is actually praise worthy.
Ya right, her dad supported sridevi n bonny kapoors marriage! If she is doing for her aunt then she shud open a breast cancer institute under her aunts name and help women fight breast cancer! I don't like celebs finding such ways to make publicity!

U create a campaign where u invite women to come n undertsand what is breast cancer n not ask people to donate! Look at the money she gathered?? Umm do you know whether she's not donating? Just bcoz she's not going public with it doesn't mean she doesn't do it! And its not going to kill middle class people like me to donate money.Surely even lower middle class ppl can donate at least 250 rs.Its really odd that ppl here are against a good cause like this as well.Moreover its generating awareness. One wouldn't have been able to donate to this cause without such campaigns.
P.S Some really greedy ppl here,if you can't help towards a good cause then STFU! At least she's doing something whilst you morons waste away! Be happy that money is being generated,by who doesn't matter.

You are the actual dumb person here! She can give money for the cause of research on breast cancer and to find a cure and sponsor treatments, and I am sure she does too considering she had a close family member who passed away cause of Breast Cancer, but the whole point behind this fundraiser is to raise AWARENESS! If she donated all the money herself and never asked for it on Twitter, how do you think so many people will hear and read about Breast Cancer? We are all talking about it here on PV and she has so many followers on Twitter, they will all talk about it too, and when it is re-tweeted by other celebs, their followers will talk about it too. That is how awareness is raised, and for all you know it might make some women more aware of their bodies and could save some lives in the process. Even if one life will be saved as a result of this, this awareness campaign won't be a waste!!!!
So please leave you stupid comments to yourself. A lot of people commenting on PV know nothing about such things as raising awareness etc, all they know about is mindless and stupid Bollywood movies that make money on the back of stupidity of such people who watch these mindless movies!

She wouldn't use this as a publicity stunt. Her aunt died of breast cancer, so don't you dare judge someone like this who has a close family member who is a breast cancer survivor or who died from it! That makes you cheap!
And to answer your question that why doesn't she donate herself, stupid if she donated herself there would be no AWARENESS raised, the way it is now through her fundraising for this cause! I am sure she donates herself too towards research done on breast cancer, but the main idea of publicizing fundraising for such causes is to raise awareness so more and more woman get to hear about breast cancer and know what to do keep themselves healthy and detect it early! Next time first learn about something and then pass your foolish judgments!
