Sonakshi & Saif for Judwaa sequel
Sonakshi Sinha seems to be riding high on the success of the two films that she has worked on: Dabangg and Rowdy Rathore. Her next release, Shirish Kunder's 'Joker' is also on the high expectations chart. It is not surprising then that the filmmakers of the Judwaa sequel thought it best to cast Sonakshi in their project. An insider mentioned to HT, "They (Sonakshi and the filmmakers) haven’t had discussions recently, since they are all busy. Sonakshi, however, is confirmed to star as one of the two heroines in the film. She is like family to producer Sajid Nadiadwala (who has also roped her in for Kick, starring Salman Khan).” Sonakshi mentioned to HT, "I can only say that we are in talks about it, but nothing has been confirmed yet.” Director Sajid Khan will begin shooting his film in January-February next year. The details of the sequel to the 1997 Salman Khan-film are expected to be finalized around December. What do you feel about this pair? Will they rock?

I think the whole she looks too old thing is her image and the characters. She'll get tired soon enough of doing the village belle roles and look for diversity younger roles provide. Besides I don't care if the heroine is older 'looking' or not. The mentality that older women can't act with younger actors is super regressive and needs to have been left in the last century.

I would really like to see Saif and PC paired together as well. They both have spontaneity in their acting. But may be a film like Judwaa is not the best to pair them together. Also, is Saif technically not allowed to work with PC due to Kareena?

@Catharina: THE DARKEST HOUR remade by bollywood, Sonakshi could play Natalie and Imran as Sean. Also, THE GOOD GIRL remade by Bollywood with Sonakshi in Jennifer Aniston's character (married young into a loveless marriage) and Imran in Jake Gyllenhaal's role. BROTHERS remade by bollywood Sonakshi could be Natalie Portman married to Ranbir as Toby Mcguire's soldier character with Shahid Kapoor as his loserly brother.
P.S. I am not encouraging bollywood to do remakes (pisses me off when they do), just re-imagining scenarios with already made movies to show you how it would work out for Sonakshi.
I like saifs acting, and with sonakshi they might look good together, but I heard saif refused to work with "older" actresses such as chitrangada that out me off, because male actors only want young heroines which is not fair.
that's what I meant also "if they were college lovers, it might not work but they would work as married couple" but couldn't explain it... agree ranbir as Leo and sona his wife... which storyline for imran khan and sons then?
I can't imagine anybody in the PC role in AA, that role was made for PC. Her body type, expressions, sensibilities & aura fit the role like a glove, she was perfect. But this doesn't mean that Sonakshi can't create her own iconic roles with guys around her age too. If Bollywood were to remake INCEPTION, Sonakshi would be great as the wife of Leo's character and Ranbir would be great as Leo's character. It all has to do with context. If they were college lovers, it might not work but they would work as a married couple. If Bollywood were to remake WUTHERING HEIGHTS Sonakshi fits Catherine to the bill but can you imagine Akki, SRK, Saif or Sallu as Heathcliff? Eeeek. Sonakshi might look a it mature for her age but her look is still very versatile. If she plays her cards right, she will be legendary in Hindi Cinema.
I just can't imagine her in a role as PC in Anjana anjani for example... I think she good for " mature, serious" roles.. with older actors as akshay kumar ... she has a mature looking face.. she doesn't look like teenager..
Sonakshi + Shahid Kapoor = Awesome jodi. She does not look older than him.
Sonakshi + Kunal Kapoor = Interesting jodi. She does not look older than him.
Sonakshi + Ranbir Kapoor = Workable jodi. Ranbir does have a baby face but there are so many different storylines out there.
Sonakshi + Ranveer Singh = Super sexy jodi. They sizzled when they danced together at IIFA 2011 in Toronto.
Sonakshi + Imran Khan = Granted she does look older than him but guess what so does his real life wife, so why not in reel life?
Sonakshi + Zayed Khan = Hey, if they can pair him with PC & Aish and it worked, they can pair him with Sona too.
Sonakshi + Neil Nitin Mukesh = Unlikely jodi but guess what so were Ranbir & Konkona in WUS and it still worked.
Sonakshi + Prateik Babbar = Sounds good even on paper. Sign them up.
even if she gets the chance to act with someone around her age group it won't look good.. she is beautiful but she looks old.. imagine sonakshi and imran khan.. shahid kapoor.. they look so young
