Undeserving people claim to be number 1:Kangna

LOL!!What Kanagana is saying is 100% true. Today every other actress in Bollywood is overrated as hell & sometimes they're self proclaimed no.1's. And I agree with anon below, only Vidya makes any difference to her films(sometimes Priyanka), others are just furniture in the background. If anyone deserves to be no.1 its really Vidya(who can actually act & is gives hits too in women centric films), & not boastful, pompous, self-proclaimed barbie dolls like Kareena or Katrina. Especially Kareena-that lady just puts tons of makeup, overacts, shrieks & prances behind Khans in a 5min role & then claims to be no.1(sad considering she was a pretty good actress before she became NO.1. As for Katrina I don't consider her as an actress, I just consider her plain lucky.

there's only one actress who keeps on parroting that she's # 1 and that's our bebo. bebo is definitely overrated because of her kapoor name, and presumably her fair skin (despite which she doesn't look pretty) and seems have the opinion that she's entitled to everything. She has shown that she is capable of good acting but has stuck to just the roles that require her to look pretty and dance (which she prefers doing by her own admission during the Ra.One interviews ). She is also been vocal about her opinion that she's underpaid for what she does compared to the actors, to which all I can say is, such demand for equal pay can only justified by 2 things: 1) ability to carry on movies entirely on your shoulders (as Vidya Balan has done) - that means step away from the comfort zone of your glam doll roles and taking risk more often with performance oriented roles; and/or 2) ability to generate *huge* box office returns simply by virtue of your presence in the movie (as salman khan manages to do). Kareena does not seem to be willing to take the risk of vying for the roles similar to Vidya's last few films and she does not have revenue generating appeal of Salman khan that would draw audience to the theater on brain-dead movies simply because she's in it. IMO she needs to stop complaining about the pay gap - she gets paid sufficiently well for the roles she chooses - while she definitely added to the charm in her movies, she has not been THE main selling point for any of those movies that attracted the audience to the theaters - the Khans, who are a brand in themselves , were the main draw - the producers know this and have thus paid them well with the expectation that they will reap bigger box office #s.

Vidya is rightfully getting the praise for her performances as of late, but other another contemporary of her who gets overlooked often for her performances would be Kalki - who has also shown to be a big risk taker and a very gifted actress.

You should post the whole interview . She goes on to say if number one means to work with sunjay leela bhansali , raj kumar hirani then she would like to be no.1. I think she is jealous of kareena and her #1 status in Bollywood because bebo gets to work with the best in Bollywood. Rather than running her mouth off she should concentrate on her diction, dialogue delivery and acting like a normal woman rather than only acting in a craze suicidal role!

Very true. For example Katrina hasn't acted in any of the movies she's been in but she claims to be number 1. Kareena, I can't remember the last time I was amazed by her, last year all her hits were not because of her but because of the actor she was opposite. I love Kanganas honesty, she is definitely along with Rani bollywoods most under rated actresses.

Gosh she was horrible in her last movie, Rascals! She should go back to doing dramatic and tragic roles that suit her better, IMO.

the only idiot i've seen doing that is kareena! before bodyguard released, i read Salim Khan saying "kareena is the only actress who makes a difference to a movie", i disagree, if anything, vidya balan is the only actress who makes a difference to a movie.. i'm sure 3 idiots, bodyguard, ra.one or even the golmaal series would have met the same fate whether or not kareena was in them..
