The unrepentant baddie - Rajeev Masand
This week's Open Magazine column, courtesy Rajeev Masand He’s one of Hindi cinema’s legendary screen villains, who famously enjoyed nothing more than filming those rape scenes in the good ol’ days. He appears in movies only intermittently now, playing grandpa roles, but stories about the old fox and his promiscuity are the stuff of Bollywood legend. Most popular among these is an incident in which the married actor reportedly left home one afternoon claiming he was going over to a friend’s place for a session of cards. His suspicious wife, who’d heard enough stories about his indiscretions, is supposed to have decided to find out once and for all if her husband was indeed committing adultery. She’s believed to have followed him all the way to a Juhu hotel. There, she reportedly waited for him to get into a room, and showed up at his door 20 minutes later. The actor apparently answered the door naked, with only a towel covering his modesty. Shocked at seeing his wife at the door, the actor is said to have slammed the door shut in her face. The angry wife knocked and knocked and swore at him from outside, threatening to break the door down and demanding to know who was with him inside. After 20 minutes of relentless knocking, when her husband didn’t answer the door again, she went home seething. Later that evening, when the actor finally showed up at home, his missus didn’t wait for him to take a seat before letting loose a volley of curses. To which the actor allegedly responded very coolly, claiming he had no idea what she was talking about. Insisting that she was paranoid, and that she’d hallucinated the entire incident, the actor dismissed his wife’s suspicions and assured her that he was indeed playing cards with friends all afternoon.

the wives are not that innocent either! if a women chooses to stay in a marriage where she's cheated on it's sometimes coz she's too used to the luxury she's getting, walking out means she'll loose all of this so it's a convenient situation.

To the one who said " I have nothing to do and am just throwing muck at others''. I pity your type, the one who believes in the stars and their image. It's the diehard fan(of your type) that continuously boost these guys into turning baddies in real life and causing hurt to their family because they know they have created a nice image outside. It is this power that corrupts them. But ofcourse it doesn't personally affect us, till one of us ends up being 'that' girl who's promised a role or help in tv/film by these foxes. Keep being in the dark till it hits home. Somewhere we all need to shed this worshipping of stars and look towards idolizing real honest folks, atleast the ones who say ke haan main aisa hee hoon not the cowards who hide behind good masks.

It was told to me by an insider who worked at the hotel. He's even seen ghazal singers, 'great' lyricists also bring in 'whores' to different rooms. If you live in Mumbai and get connected to the industry you learn these things, yes a lot of it can be gossip too but majority of the stuff has a real base and you have to know how to judge and know what is true. I wasn't surprised when I got to know first hand info of Jeetu, Prem and Rakesh Roshan collectively having a room booked for years at the hotel.

Some people just like throwing muck all around because they have nothing better to do. I'm not sure about Prem Chopra's reputation but Jeetendra and Rakesh Roshan have no such reputation of being philandering husbands. They're in fact know to be devoted fathers and family men.
If you marry someone from the entertainment industry, DO NOT BE NAIVE AND STUPID TO BELIEVE THAT THE PERSON YOU MARRY WILL BE FAITHFUL TO YOU.
This is an unfortunate event in a married woman's life but the explanation given to her by her husband is hilarious. I had a good laugh.
