Which actors deserved more?
Filmfare awards are considered as Oscars of India but when it comes to awarding the most deserving nominee,unlike its Hollywood counterpart many a time it has given cold shoulder to the genuine contender.Nothing to take away from the winner but who did you think was the most deserving for the award but was snubbed in the previous years? 2010 best actress- vidya balan (ishqiya) actual winner -kajol(MNIK)

When a film as good as Maine Gandhi Ko Nahin Mara (some might have found it boring) can be ignored by the country's most revered awards fraternity then what can we expect ftom them a far as the quality is concerned. Entertainment is all that matters to them. Anupam Kher, Jahnu Barua and Urmila should have got special mention that year! That was, to me, the most pathetic year for Folmfare. Hope you don't commit such a huge mistake next time!

I think Kajol did a great job in Fanaa...:)) so she deserved it...

Huh! First aamir in Taare was a supporting actor the child was the artist and by the way the kid took the best actor award over SRK in CDI!!!!!! Do you remember!!!!!!! Of course not!!! Srk took one award for CDI and in that year he deserves the two awards HANDS DOWN. As for aamir again in 3idiot...you will be an idiot to think he deserve it over many others! And by the way SRK WASN't nominated in that year as he hasn't done ANY FILM except a supporting role in billu.
Sorry if SRK did DEVDAS,CDI, SWADES, MNIK...these are performances at par with OSCARS! And I'm talking about just the last decade! So it's not his fault if he is doing such exceptionally powerful full house performances.

It's not his problem if he is a bloody good actor and very popular. Actually he is the only mianstream actor in all these 20 years that I think of versatile. Give him any role and he can play it. Darr, bazigar, Anjam, Swades, Asoka, Dil Se, CDI,mink, Devdas, kabhi haan kabhi naa, duplicate, KANK, don. It's just unfortunately he got the popular ones depending on what people like him more in that year. So you can't blame him for being fantastic.
And anyway...he wasn't in the list to drag his name insecure!!!!
More than rani deserves it in KANK I thought srk deserve it in KANK. Don't care what the retareded in India say about him that he is this and that but Dev Ananda was epic! He played it naturally and to spot!(unfortunately I used to be in a relationship with a man like him). Again don't give a shit what people think..,but srk and amitabh are the only two Indian actors who has the same level of acting as the western actors. And both deserve what they got as the same goes to Marylyn Streep.
You can argue anything and anyone has his likes and dislikes but HR for Dhoom 2!!!! Now that was the limit! Lol
Well, I agree sometimes awards go to some childish act like HR for Dhoom 2 ( this is the biggest let down of Filmfare ever!!!...I mean ever!) The Oscars are also subjected to give the awards to the wrong ones. I'm from Canada and I think people should respect their awards in India...yeah say and argue but at the same time don't drag it down to that much at times. HW and their awards are not perfect all the time as well.

I second that. Sorry, but Ranbir is way overrated as an actor. I like his mother and father though. He didn't give me one performance where I went WOW!!! He has a long way to go to prove his self as an actor...even Barfi wasn't that complex or mindblowing. But I guess his age group actors are quite awful that he stands out among them. Anyway...I hope he surprised me one day! As shahid did!

Kajol deserved every award she has, she was brilliant in fanaa much much better then Rani in dat Kank. People are always to quick to say Kajol has hit coz of srk which is nonsense!.... She has lots of movies without him dat did very well, and plus she was the true star of KKHH n K3G. Bollywood is gone to the dogs now. With zero original scripts, and people who can not act (katrina) been considered the most in demand, (like seriously....). So I don't care for bollywood movies anymore but I will however watch a movie only if Kajol is in it her acting is way to top notch to miss.
I have read several comments where the wrtiers said that Sridevi deserved the award for Judaai more than Madhuri Dixit for Dil To Pagal Hai and I totally agree with them. Isn't it ironic how a solid performance like Sridevi's Judaai can stand the sands of times while an award winner Dil to Pagal Hai shabby performance is being disgraced and faded just few years after the release.
It is almost 15 years since these two movies were released and Sridevi's portrayal of Kaajal in Judaai is still fresh and enjoyable while Madhuri's Nishas and Poojas are so boring and pathetic.

i totally disagree with awards given to Madhuri she didint deserve any awards... they were commercial hits but nah she didnt do any phenominal job in those roles...i dont remember any of her roles

for Kuch Kuch Hota Hai she earned the film is even on French screens so they loved her perfomance!
Same for Kabhi Khushi Kabhie Gham it spend more than 3 times on French screens! Besides Kajol was awarded Best Actress at the Festival of Valencia! Even the public has put a price! And they give nothing has Karan Johar as it was he who make the film and SRK when he was a little known at that time that Kajol!
For Fanaa, it is also passing on French screens and not Kanka. For My Name Is Khan, the Indian film that has more money outside of India! No Ishquiya or Guzarish when people talk about Guzarish at Cannes! So stop talking for nothing! Each time it is the film Kajol on screen passes and not those of foreign or Vidya Rani or even Aish Aish is as much known as Kajol! So yes Kajol has earned its price!It is in the French TV that I saw for the first time!

ash in guzaarish was soo bad she overacte and film bombed at box office only hrithik acted well ash did nothing and kank was okay movie n rani was fine but MNIK was a brilliant movie and kajol was too good in it did u c d scene wr her son dies she was so natural she was just tooo good......she completely deserved it......filmfare alwaz gives awards to actors who deserve it not like other awards who promise to give actors award if dey come......jitesh might love kajol as she is good but his choices r alwaz correct never biased
SRK, Kajol and Kareena are close to Filmfare so they're given good no. of times. While Vidya, Aishwarya, Rani, etc are always given a raw deal. Did I say Filmfare? FilmFARCE it is.
Vidya in Ishqiya and Ash in Guzaarish were miles better than Kajol in MNIK. She was awful there. But then the editor of the magazine is a self-confessed Kajol fanatic. Can't help.
all the above winners are deserving....sanjay dutt did the same acting wat he did in part 1 hrithik was sooo goood in dhoom 2 ........kajol was too goood in her movies her movies are commercially and critically hit she deserved it......kank was a flop rani was ok in it....ishqiya was not a commercial hit it was average movie but was critically praised and she got critics award for it
kajol deserved it if u watch the movies MNIK and fanaa she did a fab job her acting was superb wat she does is wat u calll acting
Hello! Not to forget Abhishek Bachchan for Guru. If not the Best Actor, but Best Actor Critics would have been kind enough. And yes, I agree awards are rigged. & Filmfare tops in the list.
Kajol is a good actress, she deserve every award.

kajol didnt deserve either award in fanna she was average when she played a blind girl she didnt even act blind which shows how bad she is, and in mnik rubbish overacting which is why the ONLY award she won was from filmfare no one else awarded her (thankfully) she only won because jitesh is biased toward her and kjo and srk.
wheres the awards for people like madhuri, juhi, karishma, vidya, aish, kangana, ajay, salman who are all MILLION times better then kajol anyday.
FilmFare and Oscars ?? If FilmFare were indeed conducted like osacrs it would be one, but it isn't so. It's not even 0.000001% of Oscars.
1997 - sunny deol for border but actual winner srk for dil to pagal hai
sridevi for judaai but actual winner maduri for dil to pagal hai
2001 - karisma kapoor for zubeidaa or tabu for astitva but actiual winner kajol for k3g
To be honest Rani deserves it for KANK. Vidya should also get it for Ishqiya...

There are many more examples......but Rani should have definitely won it for KANK....altho Kajol's performance also was very good in Fanaa....but if people care to go into the niceties they will notice the multi layered character Rani's maya was.....n how much she had to just emote through her eyes....For me its her best performance...ppl fail to relate to the character..its a very hard one to portray.....n the script was flawed....so the character remained lacklustre..but Rani's efforts were marvellous and she deserved every awrd for it............just look at her expressions wen she walks into the hotel with SRK...knowing that after this she wd end up sleeping with SRK....see the look....she wnts it but is bng prohibited by her conscience to take the final step...brilliant...or the scene whr abhishek tells her that he has never reminded her that she was not a baby bearer....she was indeed splendid in the movie ...she has emoted so much through her expressions which really difficult and certainly was the best...Rani definitely deserved more than anybody dat year................another example...Sridevi for JUDAAI shd hv won it in 1997...while it went to Madhuri Dixit.....for Dil to pagal hai......
