Women insecure about husbands should sort out troubles at home, and not attack Pee Cee (Mumbai Mirror report)
Here is an interesting story coming from Mumbai Mirror . I do not want to comment or take sides without knowing both sides of the story. But one thing I for sure feel is Priyanka is being isolated in Bollywood based on all the news articles about her off-late. And I partly agree to the statement here of her being victim to Bollywood's male domination. Whatever it is, I hope Priyanka treads carefully. Story follows... Beseiged by nasty rumours and a whisper campaign, Priyanka Chopra has decided to immerse herself in work and focus on her forthcoming music album. But while the 29-year-old Pee Cee has opted for a dignified silence in the face of nasty media whispers, friends of the actress claim that her calm façade is just that. Juggling work, her father's illness, and these rumours have taken a toll on the star. In particular she is upset and flummoxed by the campaign unleashed by a powerful producer-director who can make and break careers in Bollywood. “At a recent party while he was feeding her cupcakes, she heard rumours of him bitching her out-all this is very hurtful,” said a close associate of the actress who did not want to be identified. The associate-cum-friend believes that a powerful clique of star wives is behind this spate of anti-Priyanka stories. “Priyanka has done nothing wrong. If these women are insecure about their relationships with their husbands, they should sort it out with them, at home. Why should they attack her?” thunders the friend. The actress, who along with Vidya Balan has often been seen as Bollywood's go-to girl for meaty writer-backed roles, has confided to her friends that whatever is happening to her could be a function of the way the male-dominated industry operates. But she refuses to let it affect her work. “The only way she can strike back is by doing more work, good work. And it is not just films. There is music, endorsements… she is a brand, a multi-faceted personality and there is no way any star-wife can take that away from her.” Says the friend emphatically, adding, “To all those who are calling her names, we would like to ask them, what are your achievements? You will only be remembered as Mrs so and so…!” As for the stars that have allegedly refused to work with the actress, another friend counters by pointing out that she has always maintained a healthy professional relationship with her stars. “Truth is, she has not signed any new films for this year, as she is busy till October. There are several big-ticket projects she has been approached for. But since she has a policy of not announcing any project before it is ready to go on the floors, people will have to wait until August for news on that front.” When Mumbai Mirror called for her version of the events, Priyanka said she would only talk about her work and the music album. “Whatever has happened is in the past,” is all she would say. However, her protective friends were more forthcoming. “Ever since she was nine years old Priyanka has been in awe of Shah Rukh Khan. But now she is scared to even utter his name in public, no matter how innocent or professional the context.” Responding to rumours that the two will not be seen together because of various pressures, the friend says, “Priyanka and SRK shot together for Farhan Akhtar's adult literacy mission film recently. There is nothing on the anvil right now for them to share a platform in public.” But sources close to the actress say they continue to remain friendly. The actress, who is flying out of the country to finish work on her music album, has a lot going on in her life right now. For the last six months her father has not been keeping well. According to her concerned friends, it is not easy for her parents to read the vicious reports about their daughter every day. “She is a feisty fighter, a hardworking girl and will not tolerate any attempts to discredit her professionally,” says the friend, before joining the actress on the sets of Krrish, where she is shooting till the wee hours of the morning.

If they truly had an affair, by all means PC deserves all the negativity. However, there is one person who deserves to be blamed a million times more than PC. That's SRK.

I 100% agree! If these rumours are indeed true, then both SRK and PC deserve the blame. I mean come on SRK is not a baby, he's a 46 year old man(almost buddha), has two grown up kids, a wife of 20years, and after all those years of a lovey-dovey relationship , why does he wanna ruin his image by getting into an affair with a woman half his age. As usual the woman and not the man gets pointed at, and the person who's responsible for all this tamasha in the first place is running away. However PC is also not a sati-savitri bahu. She's done this with Akshay, and dumped Harman & Shahid when she found more successful men. She should learn to control herself and not run after married men, it does nothing for her career. Piggy Chops you're pretty,smart,successful, and next to Vidya Balan the bravest & talented actresses in BW. You can have any one you want, why run after these oldies. That said this thing is getting pretty nasty and nauseating right now, both SRK and PC should solve their own problems, share their blame, keep away 4rm each other and try to save a very long and beautiful marriage and 2 successful, self made careers.
I do not like this article, discrediting people, and, indeed, inflicting a blow in the back. For one man, a friend and nazyvyuschy afraid to give his name - no friend. Secondly, one must be careful in their desires and movements, knowing that public men may be tainted. @ 25 kehar right 100%

Maybe SRK is funding the treatment for her dad's illness, and for that she has too keep quiet. sRK met PC when she was 17, but these rumors didn't start until her dad got more ill. And the rumor did start within the "star Wives Circle" A battery was put into Gauri's back and she went with it.

Gauri is a classy woman. No one has ever said a bad thing about her. Even SRK had a clean image.

Yes!! Why is it so difficult to believe? Priyanka is an achiever.......(She has rightly shown us how a bra can be doubled up as a blouse) She has every right to have an affair with a married man. Who is Gauri? Just a housewife....Housewives have no right to anything leave alone their own husbands. I think Priyanka Chopra should be made minister for Women and Child affairs.( She'll make a great stepmom to Aryan and Suhana)
I don't really posted on PV but i'll post my fast detailed reply on this article. no offense to SRK/PC fans etc. I have been SRK fan forever and liked PC in Fasion however I can't stand her fakeness, surgeries and then declining it and now this foever-going affair!
PC has ruined her image by this affair story. Firstly, she went way too far with her love for SRK; even if its just her being SRK fan. Vidya B has openly admitted to media her affection/love for SRK TOO but she did not go to the extend PC did. Secondly, she is known for leaving Herman for Shahid and now Shahid for SRK. now, did PC really think Gauri and SRK close friends will be OK with this? seriously?! Did she not see the "boycott" from Gauri/SRK close friends? How did she not see Gauri getting pissed off at last at all of this crap stories posted every day in 10 newspapers? I'm sorry, I dont care how secure a wife is etc but there is a limit to everything. This affair has been in newspaper for almost 2 years now!!! (and SRK is to blame here equally!) if there is an affair or not, they are seen together everywhere. Now they are done all their projects so hopefully not seen together anymore
Now on the above article: Is she seeking attention because of the so called boycott? trying to get sympathy from her, SRK and maybe Gauri Fans? I am not surprised at the boycott if there is any; SRK-Gauri is a big deal in Bollywood and many of their friends will NOT be ok with this affair stories (Susan, Karan, Rani, Kajol, Hrithik to name few!)
PC needs to understand SRK is married and has a family and will not sacrifice any of them for her. IF she is just her biggest fan or BESTEST friend or even his tooth ferry, then KNOW YOUR DAMN LIMITS!!! I truely feel sorry for PC and SRK family to read/hear this affair story almost every day.

well Gauri married the man she fell in love with when he had nothing in his hands and has stayed faithful to him for 20 or so years,supported him throught out his up and down career, is raising his 2 children and taking care of his mentally ill sister along with taking care of his production company. what other achievement do you need? oh wait.. how many men has she slept with..?? well that PC will win hands down.. becoming an actress in bollywood is not a big achievement... you just need to be a b***h.
