Women insecure about husbands should sort out troubles at home, and not attack Pee Cee (Mumbai Mirror report)
Here is an interesting story coming from Mumbai Mirror . I do not want to comment or take sides without knowing both sides of the story. But one thing I for sure feel is Priyanka is being isolated in Bollywood based on all the news articles about her off-late. And I partly agree to the statement here of her being victim to Bollywood's male domination. Whatever it is, I hope Priyanka treads carefully. Story follows... Beseiged by nasty rumours and a whisper campaign, Priyanka Chopra has decided to immerse herself in work and focus on her forthcoming music album. But while the 29-year-old Pee Cee has opted for a dignified silence in the face of nasty media whispers, friends of the actress claim that her calm façade is just that. Juggling work, her father's illness, and these rumours have taken a toll on the star. In particular she is upset and flummoxed by the campaign unleashed by a powerful producer-director who can make and break careers in Bollywood. “At a recent party while he was feeding her cupcakes, she heard rumours of him bitching her out-all this is very hurtful,” said a close associate of the actress who did not want to be identified. The associate-cum-friend believes that a powerful clique of star wives is behind this spate of anti-Priyanka stories. “Priyanka has done nothing wrong. If these women are insecure about their relationships with their husbands, they should sort it out with them, at home. Why should they attack her?” thunders the friend. The actress, who along with Vidya Balan has often been seen as Bollywood's go-to girl for meaty writer-backed roles, has confided to her friends that whatever is happening to her could be a function of the way the male-dominated industry operates. But she refuses to let it affect her work. “The only way she can strike back is by doing more work, good work. And it is not just films. There is music, endorsements… she is a brand, a multi-faceted personality and there is no way any star-wife can take that away from her.” Says the friend emphatically, adding, “To all those who are calling her names, we would like to ask them, what are your achievements? You will only be remembered as Mrs so and so…!” As for the stars that have allegedly refused to work with the actress, another friend counters by pointing out that she has always maintained a healthy professional relationship with her stars. “Truth is, she has not signed any new films for this year, as she is busy till October. There are several big-ticket projects she has been approached for. But since she has a policy of not announcing any project before it is ready to go on the floors, people will have to wait until August for news on that front.” When Mumbai Mirror called for her version of the events, Priyanka said she would only talk about her work and the music album. “Whatever has happened is in the past,” is all she would say. However, her protective friends were more forthcoming. “Ever since she was nine years old Priyanka has been in awe of Shah Rukh Khan. But now she is scared to even utter his name in public, no matter how innocent or professional the context.” Responding to rumours that the two will not be seen together because of various pressures, the friend says, “Priyanka and SRK shot together for Farhan Akhtar's adult literacy mission film recently. There is nothing on the anvil right now for them to share a platform in public.” But sources close to the actress say they continue to remain friendly. The actress, who is flying out of the country to finish work on her music album, has a lot going on in her life right now. For the last six months her father has not been keeping well. According to her concerned friends, it is not easy for her parents to read the vicious reports about their daughter every day. “She is a feisty fighter, a hardworking girl and will not tolerate any attempts to discredit her professionally,” says the friend, before joining the actress on the sets of Krrish, where she is shooting till the wee hours of the morning.

methinks Priyanka went too far with this.. as if its no fault of hers. she is going on blaming everyone else. everything started because of her relationship with a married man and father of 2. she is wrong here.
now that SRK has thankfully thrown her out of his life, the important question is -

If you husband does not want to be with you, you cant keep him by force!!! Priyanka did not break it because if srk loved his wife and he was happy with her no women on earth could seperate them!!! and no one knows how Gauri treats SRK at home maybe his not happy does not mean they have to live together for there rest of there lifes move on. And Gauri tough luck its ur mistake you couldnt keep him dont blame others sit at home and think what you have done wrong in the past 20 years then you might know the answer....

Priyanka Chopra is an amazing actress. No one can change that fact - not Gauri, not Karan, not SRK, not ANYONE. Even if these rumours are true then Priyanka shouldn't be the only one to blame. Personally I don't think they're true, and Gauri and Karan are just believing the stories that the media makes up about Priyanka. I highly doubt even Gauri has asked SRK about this she is probably too scared to lose the millions.
Priyanka is an extremely smart girl, otherwise she wouldnt have won Miss World. Her career in Bollywood will never be over...she will always find a way.
I respect this woman more and more, the more I see what crap people write about her, and she continues to look fantastic and fresh and professional, continuing to succeed in work and life. This shows her inner strength. Hats off to you PC. You are a power girl and an inspiration to me. SRK-PC friendship should never ever end.

Why are you doing this to PC? Step out of your rigid mindsets. If this was Sushmita Sen, you all wouldn't have dared to open your mouths in a negative way. Everything she does is worshipped and justified, correct? But not PC. You think she is weak so you peck on her.
If PC is fond of SRK then there is nothing wrong in it. If PC is in love with SRK as a hypothesis, then there is nothing wrong in it. Love happens. Is this the first time a married man is linked with a female? Do you think having feelings means the person is BAD and MEAN? Granted, such things are hard to digest, given our culture and beliefs, but one's gotta be real as well. Feelings can't always be stopped. If they truly had an affair, by all means PC deserves all the negativity. However, there is one person who deserves to be blamed a million times more than PC. Strangely KJo or the public for that matter make no mention of this person. The man who made a promise of love and Fidelity to Gauri when he married her, the man who broke the sacred vows of marriage, that one who let down his wife and kids. Why are'nt the industry insiders attacking him?why is his career not in jeopardy? What PC she did was ethically wrong and i am sure she will have to answer her own conscience, but at the end of the bday she is a single woman, she did not betray the holy vows of marriage. SRK did. all these so called "close friends" of PC are none other than her PR execs who have brought up this story so that she can be portrayed as a victim! as someone said before, SRK has been in the industry for like 20 years now and worked with actresses much prettier than PC but why no stories of him being linked with them??? obviosuly because she tried hard and was interested in him from before and tried everything possible to gain his attention. Shes done that with Akshay, Shahid, SRK, Harman...if a decent girl comes up to any man and is ready for ANYTHING then i dont think there is any man in this world who could resist that...men are like that! they think with their "other head" first...as far as Gauri is concerned, she met SRK way before PC even dreamt of sharing space with SRK. She has been through his lows and highs, she has a family with him, they have made a home together so saying that she is insecure is just not justified! and for KJO, Gauri is his best friend (he has said that before) so I dont think he is doing anything wrong protecting his best friend and her family. I would do the same for my best friend.
