I say Nay because actors should leave their characters on screen and let the film do the talking...whats the point of appearing in character all the time? it gets so boring and leaves no mistery to the character and it hides the real persona of the actor. its pointless promotion

No I think this is just unnecessary. You should be able to reflect your own style during promotions. Also, that thing where vidya is carrying a pillow when she wasn't really prego...that just way to excessive and weird to be frankly honest. Like sheesh! I get that you wanna dress like your character but do u have to go around in public pretending to be prego?????? That takes the cake!
it's nice to get a glimpse of what their character in their movies will be like.. after all they are promoting the film. so it makes sense to me. but sometimes they go sooo overboard with it that you don't know if it is their real style or from the film.. what's worse is if they have the same style in like 2 or 3 films consecutively..which resembles their real style too. *cough, Katrina, cough* lol.

Even I don't like In character appearances.. it gives a very desperate feel to the promotion of a movie.. like the actors are trying too hard to get hits... Promotions are a time when you get a lot of exposure to the fans and it looks better and glamorous if celebrities dress up well and get the audience excited instead of just saying 'Watch our Movie'.. chances of watching the movie impressed by the celebs is more than begging them to watch..
i don't really care but i think they set trends by doing so rather than promoting the movie, like just because they are dressed like character wouldn't make me go see the movie but i might like their fashion sense and follow it

I actually think that it's a cute idea. I mean, we always see them dressed up nicely for events, so it's always nice to see them dressed as their character.
