"You are damned if you do and damned if you don't" - Abhishek Bachchan
Aishwarya Rai is probably one of the very few people in the world who are in news for anything they do, or even don't do. Be it her wedding, her pregnancy or her motherhood, people are always ready to hear more. The recent news that made rounds was her post-pregnancy weight gain and even more recent is the accusation on the Bachchans for shielding little Aaradhya from the press and the public. The Bachchans are apparently tired and fed up of all the discussions revolving around their personal lives. Says hubby Abhishek in an interview to Gulf news, "There is no attempt at secrecy or shielding anybody ... We work in an overwhelming environment. We had a very normal upbringing. With Aaradhya too, we take her out, go for walks etc" "It's a tad unfair. If I don't show my daughter it is secrecy and if I go around showing her the right way, people say that I am flaunting her. You are damned if you do and damned if you don't ," Abhshek said. Well I guess there is a price to pay for being a public figure..and some end up paying more than they bargained for!

Problem is Big B turned it into a huge tamasha by announcing the pregnancy on Twitter. Why make a public announcement of what's essentially a private matter? Then we were treated to all the gory details of the delivery. Why? Has anybody ever asked for such details? Later, he said that Ash is a great mom & she does everything herself. Just as though no other woman has ever had a baby in the history of the earth! Then he invited tweets from the general public to suggest a name. A name is chosen & there is complete silence now from their side. They don't bother telling the public about the name they choose.
None of their actions suggest a desire for privacy.It's like they need Ash & Aaradhya to keep in the limelight. Most importantly, everyone of us parents secretly think that our baby is the best,most beautiful & most intelligent.

ash if u r fat accept it humbly, dont have to give excuses that u r being the best mom and have no time for gym coz u r so busy looking after your kid, if you with all help is so lazy what role model will you set to other women..after all you r only and only known for beauty only and not acting

U not again..oh god. Even i am following this news and i have watched couple of interviews that ash gave when she was at cannes recently. But I have never seen her saying that that she is busy looking after the kid and that's why she has no time to lose the weight.

I think they will let the baby be photographed when she is one yr old. It seems like they have some kind of timeline, just like the baby's name. As soon as the baby turned six month old, all Bachchans started saying her name.

Spot on! Bachchan family has become a big joke to me....they will do anything for a bit of publicity. They treat Indians as though they are dumb - which is why the big drama about "Beti B"'s name and then, Aishs pregnancy as well as the whole Heroine fiasco. They are thoroughly unprofessional....why do we Indians put them on such a high pedestal? We are after all the ones who put them there, we can easily take it back. If you don't treat your fans right, your fans can easily bring you down. Just remember that !
It seems like ever since they married, Abhishek has only received bad publicity anyway; wonder why that is the case? :S
I like Abhishek, but the Bachchan clan, especially Aishwarya and Amitabh, always seem to have a holier than thou attitude.

People love to hate Aishand Bachans for some reason. I would say that they are jealous but that seems a little silly. They are celebs, they happen to be popular because we like to hear about them. I am nobody's fan but I have to say that I come on pinkvilla only to see the latest news on Aish. As for people who don't like her, it's your opinion but it seems that you want to make it known on every single post....I don't get it!?!!

For once I agree with Abhishek. I am with Bachchans about this. There is nothing wrong with them expressing joy and happiness on their baby. And they are shielding the baby because they are aware of the evil eyes. Just read some of the nasty comments on the first peek of Aaradhya... I mean she is a 7 month infant for god's sakes! Only because of such low-lives, the Bachchans are not releasing the pics. They would probably love to share her pics with fans... but with fans come the haters who are full of negativity and cynicism.

Why ash is hiding the baby is becoz she is pretty much aware of the fact that she is going to be discussed in public forums and now she admitted in her own words that haters exists and she is being hated upon so she might be aware that people are ready to bash her, it will be silly move on her part to invite another controversy. If that's her reason behind hiding her baby's face from public, then it will be a wise move on her part as she is doing the right thing. Its wierd..u dont need to try extra hard to hide your baby nor flaunt her...just be like normal parents....she is 7 months old now and someday she will come out of the baby carrier...
anyways..its a trick the bachchans always use...they try to tease fans so that ppl keep questioning you even more..they want to connect to their exxtended family thru networking sites...but at the end only reveal what they want to...u may ask whats wrong in that...nothing...just dont come back and say ppl are scrutinizing...it sounds silly...
first they announce she is pregnant, how she pushed the baby, of how the baby had light eyes, long legs, angelic face, then ask for suggesting names...and suddenly they are mum...why reveal anything in the first place...
