it's good to know that women of all sizes and colors of all star -affliations (haters, fans, neutrals, etc) came to defend Aish who was bashed so unfairly on her size by a few. She is obviously lovely in the size she is happy and healthy in- and it's her body , her boundary-- not anyone else's to define.
we all can rise above our egos and just stop any discrimination based on size, color, gender , race , nationality, religion, creed, etc. let's not let limits define anyone.

Tue, 2012-02-28 07:39 — Anonymous: ok, you're right.. Hollywood celebs do endorse,, but it seems like classy stuff. not cigarttes, junk foods, and dollar store soaps. moreover, Hollywood is not Bollywood. Bollywood celebs should know their audience, based on the economic conditions- are more vulnerable.
wouldn't you agree, celebs mainly have one agenda: their own stardom and their own pocketbook. if you are a celeb, would you ever trust another celeb? no.
but most of India is trusting them..

she'll knock the weight off.. and come back with a bang that will be big. much bigger than her so-called 'peak'.
Sat, 2012-03-03 08:12 — Anonymous
the choice of dress is bad and added too much pounds on her. heavy fabric.. anarkalis look like tents. it makes ppl look heavier.. everyone who wears them gains weight. in her next outing , she did better by dressing in lighter fabrics. she should have stuck to sarees..that is the most flattering outfit in the world.'
the way this dress drapes like a box with the dupprata, it makes her look square and much larger than she really is. yes, she's gained weight.. (that's natural)-- but this dress clearly added 30 pounds more on her than she really is.
these stars need to learn their own sense of style.. they rely too much on stylists and forget the fashion common sense. the common middle-class women of India dress better and smarter than the so-called billionaire elites and film stars these days.. with only 1% of their salary and no stylists .

Size 0 discussion came up.. because someone (ummmmm... ) put up Victoria Bechkham's size 0 photo with an entrouage of people surrounding her carrying her baby.. .as an example to follow -- to Tue, 2012-02-28 07:45 — Anonymous.
She (and in today's time, voluptoutous actresses like Mads and Sri) would be criticized even if she was 25 lesser... size 0 is a bad outdated fad that is travelling to the East.

Oh look Schmuk's back to defend Aishwarya LOL. Doesn't matter what pictures you post, man, she still looks awful!
She must have knocked off at least 6-7 lbs looking at the difference between these pictures. Nice.
Tue, 2012-02-28 08:45 — Anonymous
Where is all this size 0 discussion coming from? I don't understand it. Who's asking her to be size 0? She probably gained 20-30 lbs during her pregnancy; just losing that amount and toning up would make her look great.

Fri, 2012-02-24 21:30 — Anonymous - Completely agree with you! And thank you for expressing your opinion so articulately. Ironically, it's her fans that defend her blindly that spew the most venom!

Hollywood celebs (top major ones) do not do endorsements... it looks odd. Often, they will sneak and do endorsements in Japan , etc.-- where no one will find out.
-----------------
Yes, they do. Charlize Theron and Natalie Portman, both best actress Oscar winners, endorse Christian Dior. Eva Mendes models for Calvin Klein (perfume). Keira Knightley signed with Chanel. Zoe Saldana and Reese Witherspoon work with/endorse Avon Cosmetics (perfume). Nicki Minaj just did a campaign for MAC Viva Glam Cosmetics. I think Olivier Martinez endorses a high-end men's cologne brand, but don't recall which one. Venus (or Serena) Williams just signed a $40 million contract with Nike. As you can see, the list is endless.
Richard Gere did a Visa commercial in India. Snoop Dog got paid a nice chunk to appear in Singh is King. With globalization and instant information in the media, there is no such thing as "no one will find out." Stars think of the contract and signing amount first no matter what they endorse. In India, they happen to endorse things like skin whitening products which unfortunately have a negative effect on society. But again, no matter what a celebrity endorses, a person should think for themselves before following blindly.
@PV - please post.

color appreciation and accepatance is a fine cause-- but your mocks ruin this whole tone.

and the Miss Worlds probably have such large pocketbooks and wallets that they care a damn of their melanin count.... they're just giving the public their preferred look... if it were orange, they'd make themselves orange.
grow up.

Aishwarya obviously still holds high star power..... it would be sillly for her not to resume her stardomm
Sat, 2012-02-25 12:25 — Anonymous
A lot of Mumbai actresses (big top stars.. many of whom have written on this blog post; )... would heave a sigh of relief as the only way they know how to knock down a giant like Aishwarya and her giant fame is if she does walk away from her massive fame.
She's the one thing standing between them and their #1. and they are doing anything and everything to spout such hate, diss on her , break her fan-dom... because that's in their interests. they are delighted that Schmuck turned out to be a traitor.
None of them have been able to touch Aishwarya's fame at her peak... and worry her comeback will be more massive than her peak. hence the hateful posts down there.

Pinkvilla parties among the snob crowds now? eh.. Shobha De, starting the trend ... ... typing away? over 600 comments and growing, proof that the obsession over Aishwarya grows and grows. anyone care to show posts that cause such mad riots?

Aishwarya is perhaps the most famous celebrity in the world. NO ONE .. no one gets reactions like her... either positive or negative. she is fame and fame is Aishwarya.
Schmuck is back on PV... cool. come back on this post, Schmuck. r u the one from Delhi, dude?

Yes, stars are paid to entertain. But are they paid to sell chips, creams, et all.. or do they choose it?
Hollywood celebs (top major ones) do not do endorsements... it looks odd. Often, they will sneak and do endorsements in Japan , etc.-- where no one will find out. why do top Indian celebs do it? oh, yeah... their pocketbook.
so why follow people whose main agendas is their pocketbooks, not yours.

I think, Ash would have benefited if she spent more time with Jaya than SR. B., She would have learned so much from her. Ever since Ash got married, she spent far more time going to shows and parties and weddings with SR. B.., what was the logic and need for that. jaya is a wife of a superstar, and she is so simple. She is not in the race with other wives to look more beautiful, glamorous. Ash is too wrapped up with her beauty and the sad thing is, she is not as beautiful as she thinks and her fans think. Just because Julia Roberts said one time that Ash is the most beautiful woman and Oprah repeated on her show, and then few more shows repeated that. In Bollywood alone, when it comes to beauty alone, I would give Ash 3 from 1-10, 10 being the most beautiful. JULIA ROBERTS, is a very talented actress, but in no way she is an authority on Beauty or fashion. Personally, I think JULIA is more beautiful(natural) than Ash, and she doesn't even try it to look beautiful
I thinks all of these actresses are beautiful than her not in any order though( and we are not even talking about the talent, that would put Ash in minus 3 category.)
Maduri
kajol
karisma
Rani M
Sonali Bandre far more beautiful than Ash
Sushmita Sen
Juhi Chawla
Tabu
All of them are beautiful in their own ways and they don't even have to kill themselves to look so good and all the above probably have no or bare minimum surgeries and they are happy with their families, kids, their careers, other than concentrating on looking beautiful all the time.
and she is not even 1/10 what Sonam, Kareena, Gelina, Bipasha and the list goes on ---
So Miss World and her fans - please you guys need to do the reality check once in a while and come back to your senses.

Jaya has better curves than Ash. It looks like Ash is hiding her flabby body with this Anarkali.

Jaya is actually looking younger and more elegant than Ash. She is far from being the most beautiful woman in the world.
