I am sure u're a good uncle, u obviously dote on ur sisters baby....:)
car seats are required by law in many countries but I visit India too and we go out shopping etc with baby not just religious places and took baby in car seat...it was very comfortable and safe to for both baby and us. I have seen many of people in India use car seats, probably expats. But one would expect someone like the bachhans to know about the importance of this, they are well travelled and can afford one!

To the Medical student: Id love to know what third world country are u a med student at? Please do elaborate how you can tell or have experienced or meassure a moms love for her new born baby. Postpartum depression is one thing, but having the ability to hire a nanny, because you have a busy life, DOES NOT justify how a woman who bore her child would care for it or a way to meassure a mothers lover for her child, dimwitt.

Supp DIMWITT!!!!! And just when and where did I say I am a medical student?

My bad.... the neck and not the head :P

But I am not saying ppl should altogether discard the idea of a car seat. I am just saying that not many subscribe to it. And where we come from, it's rare we (South Asians) bring newborn out in a car, except for a temple visit and hospital. If need be, they are carried and kept on someone else's lap, as seen when Sr B held Beti B.

I got just a wee bit upset when you said I do not know how to tc a baby. Just a lil. I would love to think I am an awesome uncle tho I did not take my champ out in a car. Champ sits in a car seat but when he was a baby...upto 4 - 5 months, he was not brought out in a car often. Even then he was in a car seat but as a newborn, no. He was carried, kept on my sister's lap and close to her chest.

I am not spreading ignorance. I am just saying what I know and my opinion. I am sorry your highness for doing so since countries other than US and EU are faceless minions. And in South East Asia, it is not mandatory for newborns to be in a car seat. By South East Asia, I mean developed and developing countries like Singapore, Malaysia and Vietnam, etc. Even the expatriates here do not do so. Expats from the western world that is.

I may not be an expert on baby safety, unlike you my highness but I do know, how to TC a baby. Of course, nothing compared to you my highness from the land of awesomeness.

................................................

When u say car seat is not for newborns u r out of ur mind and really promoting wrong things. Its absolutely essential for babies when travelling just like a seatbelt is for adults. Apparenlty u dont know how to take care of a baby as u are compomising his/her safety and comfort by not taking them in a car seat. And babies head is not like jelly. Its the neck that needs to be supported and car seats are very comfortable for babies when they are travelling rather than being held by someone and shaken everytime u go over a pothole.

Oh yes USA is that and that then why your "god" Britney Spears took her baby on her lap while she was driving at the same time??? :D

Agree with u dude from Singapure! This is INDIA and I am sure Aish will put her baby on a car seat later on!

0pinionated's picture

PV post this

Aish does not COPY the US people - what a load of sheer bs!!! ALL SHE DOES IS COPY AND TRY TO APPEAR WESTERNIZED ESPECIALLY WHEN SHE IS OUT OF INDIA. Besides its not an issue of copying western culture or laws, but I would think her maternal instinct would make her think twice before putting the baby in a car without a car seat in, of all places in the world, India.

you sound like you yourself grew up in the slums and (id bet on this) went to a hindi medium school. and infants safety issue isn't American/Canadian or Indian. They all earn enough to afford a car seat and seem to have been around for long enough to know the importance of safety especially in Indian traffic. maybe they are ignorant enough ot think just because they are being escorted by the cops and riding a rolls, the baby is safe. Who knows maybe there isn;t a strong enough bond because of use of a surrogate. To date, my parents are extreemely safety cautious - its a maternal thing.

sick of hearing about an attention hungry womans ability to get preggers, then creating a media stirr by pretending to hide the bump (bare in mind this is the same woman who has her chachas falling over in her designer gowns and those pictures are floating all over the net), then her ability to pop it being shared by of all people her father in law and then her bringing the baby home without proper safety precausions. Talk about the lengths soem people would go to get media attention.

@ STUPID
YES I HAVE KID ,WAS BORN IN USA AND I WASNT ALLOWED WITH MY NEW BORN TO GO HOME ,UNLESS THEY CHECK THE SAFETY STANDARD OF MY CAR SEAT

They are living in India, not Us and Canada, and India has no such laws/safety standard, here hundreds of children are born in slums every day. So stop imposing your US-Canada laws here, and Aish does not COPY the US people. She is traditional. Our grandparents/parents also carried us in their lap. Last, but not the least, it is their baby, they know better how to take care of their child, not yours. Some people just have to find some "bahana" to write negatively against the Bachans

.....Its a week old baby. Baby's head is soft and wobbly like jelly (somewhat) and it needs to be well supported. Car seat, tho is safe and gives support, it is not for newborn......

And u are an expert in newborn safety??? In Europe and US they wont let u take the baby out of the hospital if u dont have a car seat! Trust me they know their health and safety very very well. Dont spread ignorance here.

LOL STUPID PEOPLE! A newborn baby can't be in a car seat yet! The best thing a mom can do is hold her/him on her arms, their heads are too delicaded right now and can't me moving. I've seen many people doing the same thing as them and it's not a careless thing!

The questions is... Do U GUYS have a baby seat for your children? Did u ever had it or putted them when yur babies were NEWBORNS? I think u guys r a bunch of hipocrites! And since when u care so much about that baby?!
&
I am from Singapore and no I have no kids but my sister did and she is a neurologist. When she had my nephew, which was last June, she did not put him in a car seat but held him. The lil champ went on a car seat when he was about 4 months or so. He did not go in a car often prior and should there be a need, my sister carried him and always sat at the back seat

YES I HAVE KID ,WAS BORN IN USA AND I WASNT ALLOWED WITH MY NEW BORN TO GO HOME ,UNLESS THEY CHECK THE SAFETY STANDARD OF MY CAR SEAT ,AND MY NEPHEW WAS BORN IN CANADA ,THEY DIDNT LET THE NEW BORN GO OUT WITHOUT CONFIRMING ,IF THE CARSEAT IS SAFE AND LEGAL ACCORDING TO CANDIAN LAW! WE ARE TALKING ABOUT USA & CANADA NOT ABOUT SINGAPORE , AISHWARIYA COPPIES USA AND CANADIAN STYLE SO Y NOT THIS TIME ! STOP U GUYS FROM SPREADING IGNORANCE NOW !!!!! AND IF COPS CHECKS AND NEW BORN IS NOT IN SEAT ,ITS A HEAVY FINE ,GET UR FACTS STRAIGHT !!!!Bunch Of Morons here!!!phewww!

Firstly baby heads are not sturdy but definitely NOT wobbly like a jelly, I have a daughter and I can assure.
Also when I left the hospital she was in a car seat, they are made of high grade fabric not rock, it's like a small bed or them.
I think with the media out pour it would have been safer if she was in one, the baby could be pushed, thrown own and a lot more..ok snuff said :)

So India has no car seat rule! Big frikin' deal! Think of majority of the population there, there is no way they could sustain such regulations.

While everyone is going on and on about "no car seat and Jaya is left out"......here is the deal

Its a week old baby. Baby's head is soft and wobbly like jelly (somewhat) and it needs to be well supported. Car seat, tho is safe and gives support, it is not for newborn.

And there were images where Abhi was driving and Jaya next to him. Sr B did mention that Jaya went back to greet Beti B so am guessing, Abhi sent Jaya back .

I think you must not live in west, if so then you must not have kids , I tell u 1 thing ,when a new born goes to his or her home , doesn't matter what , but hospital staff have to make sure that parents have safe car seat and it's legal in their own country , I mean to say America have their own standard new born seats and Canada have their own legal standard seats for new born, if parents don't bring according to their standard , they don't give child until you get one according to their standards. 1 week or 2 week old baby has to b in car seat in West .

TRUE! Actually u can put the baby in a baby car seat while the mom is carefully watching their heads but they can also hold them on their arms and it's not a harm! Why haters cares so much about it? LOL! They wanna find anything meaningless to bash Aishwarya, oh well as always they do!

It's not about being compulsory in India, it's just that u can think abt buying glam sham cars but can't get a car seat common...ignorance as I say again is a bliss.
