So true but the obessive fan is too ignorant and immature to figure that out herself. Yes Hollywood usaully gives all the best roles to the whites actors and actresses , unless the colred actrs are as famous as Denzel washington or Halle Berry , it usaully hard for a non-white to get into hollywood.Those actors by the way of oscars of their own , meaning it belongs to them and they have earned it , so thats what helping them get great roles too . Freida doesn't have any oscars of her own,sorry but acting in oscar winning slumdog for 10 minutes doesn't credit her as an respectable actress ,and probably will never get nominated for one , she lacks acting talent and is all hype.

Excuse me? What about Freida Pinto ? she keeps bringing in her skin colour as an excuse for her not getting into bollywood , I am glad some else pointed that out. What makes you think bollywood actresses are not skilled or that the industry has low standards? These women do not wear"pancake face makeup" they wear the makeup used in movies . I have never heard that term it must only be in india. She herself looks white in all of her ads and yet she cries wolf about bollywood being the racist people! Imagine. Plus she is not a good actress , she was aiming for bollywood but made it to hollywood by accident , so stop defedning Freida Pinto' every silly move , every silly statement she makes , it makes you look like a fool for defending this girl and her lies. If such beauties like Bipasha Basu or Priyanka Chopra made it by their hard work and never let their skin tone get in the way of their success , why did she let that happen? She is incharge of what happens in her life not others. It is not other people's fault if she did not get what she wanted. So if she were to get thrown out of hollywood , will she make such claims like they are racist and don't like dark skin tone for why she didn't last? Most of the roles are written for white actors anyways not the colored ones. The chances of her lasting are very slim ,and it's even thinner since she can't act.

and yes, most dusky Bollywood stars are almost always pancaked lightened for films.... going dark on screen is a no-no unless it's a vamp role. ask makeup artists in Mumbai, they'll tell you the object of making them look pretty is to cover up darkness as well... Freida is the one of the few dusky artist who is not afraid of going makeupless... it's about confidence. Nandita Das is also one of the most exqusitely beautiful artists who shows off her beautiful tones. but they have a hard time getting glam roles,, unless they pancake up.

She was a model in Mumbai and she auditioned for the role, among many actresses who did. She worked and earned the part. She used to work in TV on her sis's show and did some small modeling jobs in Mumbai. She has a full college degree , with Eng . A Palace of Asia restaurant scion of business owners is not bad. She's never been too desperate for stardom, it all fell on her.. but that's how it happens if your first film wins the Oscars.... and people take to her. You may not like it, but reality is something different than what you might want it to be.
There is some really bad sterotypes of Ms. Pinto. This whole nonsense that was as slummer picked up off the streets is inflamming the classism hatred , which is totally unfair not just to her-- but more importantly to a whole class of supressed people.

Sonam's eyes are close set and the nose too strong and long....makes her look witchy.
Freida's eyes are deep set but they are wide set ( big space between the eyes) and I find wide set eyes so attractive. Deepika and Priyanka also have wide set eyes. Kat and Kareena have very close set eyes....even closer set than Sonam's.
I really liked Sonam in black and white Gucci ensemble . Her hair looked so chic and the gold earrings were perfect. I don't know why she picked this oufit. It's not flattering for her big built body. The old lady jewellery and the hair is making her look so old.
Sonam should stick to slim sexy minimalist looks.

Sonam Kappor has big eyes and they are straight , Freida is the one with the deep set eyes and she is cross eyed too ! I don't think thats very attractive....
IMO Frieda is more stylish and effortlessly classy than Sonam who tries too hard..
I always wanted to see these two together... Sonam is no fairer than Freida and her face is a typical north Indian face, deep set eyes, sharp nose, very average and not fashion model beautiful at all...
