John Abraham spotted at the police station. John Abraham, sentenced in a 2006 hit-and-run case, was detained Friday pending a hearing on his bail plea in the high court, police said. A magistrate's court had in 2010 sentenced him to 15 days simple imprisonment and fined him Rs.15,000. He had appealed in a sessions court and obtained bail. The court dismissed his plea Friday. Two people were hurt in the 2006 accident.

John is a kind decent man. Everyone knows he did the right thing on the night of the accident - didn't flee the scene, took the boys to hospital. This whole thing is ridiculous. I feel very sorry for him and his family having to go through this fiasco.

i know! its definitely not a hot and run because he took the 2 guys to the hospital and made sure they were okay. plus i heard that they swerved into his lane so how is it his fault? id understand any of this!
dont say accident was hit an run..... it was exactly opposite..... john stayed on scene and helped... hailed rickshaw to take him an 2 boys to hospital......sad day when man who does right thing gets punished :(:(:(
Why did I just KNOW that some IDIOT on here was gonna mention Bips?? What the hell has SHE got to do with it? He had the accident when they were at the height of their relationship. So are we to believe that if he'd stayed with her she'd have had some miraculous effect on the legal system?!! GET REAL for goodness sake!

This whole case is a travesty. No one died and the two boys were only slightly hurt. The fact that one of them has since died (at the age of 22 I think) NOT from anything to do with the accident, but from TB, speaks VOLUMES about modern India! SHAMEFUL!!!
Have they got enough police guarding him or what?!!! Jeez!! Ridiculous. It's time this stupid case was ended. John was hurt much worse than the two boys and took them to hospital even though he could barely walk on his injured foot!! They just want to get more bail money out of the poor guy!!
