Konkona Sen Sharma & Jimmy Shergill at Launch & Inauguration of Rakshak

The initiative taken by Dr. Ved Thapar (of Hum Awaaz) and Mr. Anil Murarka(socialite and industrialist) surely brought commendable appreciation from some high profile people who came together to witness the launch and inauguration of ‘Rakshak' – a brand new Disaster Management Vehicle for the city on Sunday evening at The Grand Sarovar Premier Hotel in Goregaon W.
The organisation Hum Awaaz, that devotedly caters to generously extending a helping hand during all calamities and disasters in the country roped in the Anti Terrorism Squad Chief (Mumbai) Mr K.P Raghuvanshi who made time out to be a part of this noble endeavour. Adding to that was a dash of glamour brought in by Ms. Konkana Sen Sharma and Mr. Jimmy Shergill who inaugurated the vehicle with the ATS Chief.
Giving them company were actors Sooraj Thapar, Jiten Lalwani, Ehsaan Qureishi and Raju Srivastav.
The very energetic Dr. Ved Thapar surely made an emphatic speech about the need for safety measures and citizen participation while the comedians Ehsaan and Raju had the audience in splits even in the short span of congratulatory and encouragement speech that they gave.
The guests gladly posed for the shutterbugs within the rescue boat which comes along with the DMV. A sporting Jimmy took to the driver’s seat of the vehicle and set the engine roaring too.
Well with more rescue and safety measures, looks like the city is heading for happier times!
