I remember when Lara became Miss Universe, my daughter who was in the 4th grade was rooting for Lara,
(being Indian living in USA,) and how Lara pulled it thru the five finalist with her intelligent answers and left eveyone speechless.
She is one smart, no nonsense woman, and please let's not compare her with Ash.

Aishwarya lives at home WITH in-laws and professional chefs and formal meal times. It is much harder to diet while living in a joint family!

aishwarya is 38 and gave birth normally. now she's expected to be fit again within 3 months. i'm 21 it took me 6 months to lose 15 pounds in a HEALTHY matter.
she's a south indian girl and she was NEVER skinny as malaika or pc. she will take time.
lara is 5 years younger. maybe she's made it a priority to be back in movies asap. aish hasn't.

well obviously, she does not have a rich father-in-law like Ash and if she has lost weight than that does not mean she wants to come back in movies! Its called being in shape! Moreover, actually ash is the one who wants to come back ASAP but poor lady knows that she is too lazy to work on her body and as an excuse she is going around saying that she wants to enjoy maternity! Lara is younger than Aish with 5 years. The comparisons in here are ridiculous. Remember Aish when she was 33 years old like Lara is now? Dhoom2, Guru, Jodha Akbar period? I'm sure she would have sustained much better a pregnancy with the fit, young body she had 5 years ago.
Also, Lara's bigger facial bone structure helps spreading more evenly the fat in her face. On the other hand, Aish has smaller, more delicate facial bones which proved not be able to sustain pleasingly the baby fat on her face.
Whatever, in the end, both moms look happy and pretty.
Now that's called postpartum delivery!she delivered in Jan and Aish Aunt delivered in Nov but she culdnt even lost an Inch but that gorgeous natural lady Lara Dutta lost it quick as i read on her twitter account she goes regularly for walk or jogging.

dont worry if your Aish wore black still she wouldn't look as slim as Lara does here..yes her face looks bloated and we are not saying she has lost all her weight..but this is how most of normal women look after they deliver they dont look that bloated as Aish has been!..and bang on makeup critique the most important thing is Lara is a natural mommy unlike the over made up aish..that makes all the difference!!

Face still looks chubby. Lovely sari, plunging neckline of the blouse looks awful though! Never really considered Lara to be stunner, she always had average looks. It was always Aish who beat her when it came to looks. However, after seeing both models after having babies, the difference is huge! Lara looks ten times better! She was clever to wear black so she appers slimmer. She also looks more confident and happy. Aish is just clinging on to Abhi. She should have also worn a sari, and darker colour.
