It is not Sharma Joshi's film. It is Vidu Vinod Chopra's film. In Bollywood, actors are given more credit than the film makers. In hollywood, it is known as James Cameron's film. Film makers should be given more credit.

To the poster below SK was not "brought" into the industry by anyone but Sooraj Barjatya who himself at the time was debuting. Salim Khan was an ostracized industry member after the Salim/Javed split. Salman Khan's success was a redemption of sorts for him even, it hasn't come to your notice that he is quite content being a "has been" so to speak? He's not the fame-hungry man you allude to. His son's success doesn't even faze him.
Any event, films, award show, ads, tv shows, or about everything Salman attends, he takes it to another level. No one and I am saying no one in Indian film industry has the appeal like he has. Love him to bits.
Oh Salman, my heart skips a beat whenever I see him but only on screen. He still got it, easily gives the actors in their 20s and 30s, a run for their money. Salman will always rock he has it in him.
