kirtan is like a bhajan. People who are sikh do them at their homes or the sikh granthis (priests) sing them in the gurdwara.

She was at the Chakala Gurudwara on the occassion of Guru Nanak Jayanti - I suppose with her father to publicise his new album.His father sang some beautiful shabads on the occasion.I was amazed by her simplicity and felt it was her humility to appear in the crowd as a simple person alongwith her community friends.

Priyanka Chopra is Hindu but her family obviously has spiritual roots and affinity with Sikhism and the beauty of Sikh kirtan - no big deal. You can respect all paths of spirituality as a manifestation of God.
