Sonam Kapoor at the Therese Desqueyroux premiere at the Cannes film festival. She is wearing Alexander McQueen and jewellery from Chopard. I have to say, this look is disappointing for me.

Sonam is someone who doesn't understand that copying looks out of magazines and runways isn't style. When you wear a McQueen dress, you have to own it. She just doesn't have the attitude.

How was she even allowed to walk the red carpet like this. It's very rare, in fact never do you see a person on the red carpet with such bad make-up. Expert make-up artists can make even the rough looking people look flawless. Here Sonam who is quite pretty anyway is made to look like a joke.
How can Ash have such perfect spectacular make up on but Sonam's make up is such a tragedy? May be Ash did something to Sonam so that she couldn't look good.

If Ash was wearing this, her excuse would be baby fat. This looks like a halloween costume may be because of color. My daughter wore similar one for halloween last year.

I am so TIRED of the comments always being "Oh her make up is not right", "oh her dress is not right", "oh she is not looking good here" but OTHERWISE SHE IS BETTER THAN EVERYONE! Maybe its not the dress or make up, may be its SONAM that is the problem. However she does look good on screen. Still shots and fashion are NOT her thing. You can not force it. And as for Freida, may be she does have a face and body and attitude more suitable to western tastes. And its not a fluke that her make up is always perfect.

not bad, but not that good either. had higher expectations and a more sleek/polished pulled together look suits her more.
Looks like L'oreal make-up artists have PERSONAL AGENDAS against Sonam. Her make-up at Cannes are always HORRIBLE at all the events. They need to give her a fresh faced make-up (like Frieda) instead of the caked face make-up. It ages her and she looks at-least 30 in these photos. I understand that Sonam & her stylists wanted to go for a dark romantic look (which is very popular for Fall 2012 and we saw that look at Milan, Paris, NY fashion weeks). However, she failed miserably. There are only few people who can pulled off this look and if worn by wrong person it can look very halloweenish. Unfortunately, Sonam belongs to the second category. She looks like she is dressed for halloween & easily the WORST-DRESSED CELEB. (Some how this look reminds me of Mallika Sherawat, don't know why?)!
I dunno wht happens to Sonam..everytime she comes to Cannes......esp bcoz she dresses SO Well most of the time...we expect a lot from her....
Anyways...the dress isnt tht bad..I understand she tries to be UNIQUE..rather than all tht pretty/beautiful....
but again..the dress is not bad...but not tht good either..could have been btr....she should bring some colours....
