A friend of mine wore BROWN VELVET SUIT on his wedding reception. He is very fat and has these chubby cheeks..nOw you can visualise a typical healty (fat) Indian male in Brown velvet suit....he was looking like a Grizzly Bear...lol!!
Obviously we didn't say that to him, coz that bear suit was selected by his better half..the lady LOVE of his life...lol!!!

The couple looks very cute and very happy, but there is definitely an overdose on velvet here. I don't want to be a prude, and it is the bride's day and she has a stunning body, but I would prefer to have a pallu across my chest, even if it is a transparent one, at my wedding reception.

she's half-Punjabi... hence the very long faced features.
Nandini is Punjabi; and very much into the arts and dances.. which she promotes .
Priyanka has been on the political ticket and working since her teens.
she's said to be sharp as a whip.
the ppl who say she's dressed bad, etc. etc.. well, she's a private citizen and a bride gets to dress it her way.

Velvet is not my thing... but somehow the bride and groom look good in it. The brides choli could have been a little less scandalous, especially given that this is her wedding reception, but she does look very pretty. Congrats to the couple!

In some parts of india, brides wear pallu even on their head as mark of a respect for elders even in cities.
I guess it is their choice ultimately.

I think Priyanka wore hers her way and it suits her figure and age. She made it her own and that's what personal style is all about.....when you take a traditional classic outfit and put your own stamp on it. She made it interesting and different and it suits her lithe graceful figure and shows off her smooth satiny skin. I am so envious of that taut tummy.
She is one of prettiest Bollywood brides I have seen in a long time. There's something innocent, bashful yet graceful and refined about her. Usually bollywood brides look jaded and worn out.
