EXCLUSIVE: Sushant Singh Rajput - Kriti Sanon's first meeting sparked instant chemistry

A surprise audition test of a short conversation between Sushant Singh Rajput and Kriti Sanon landed them a plum offer in Dinesh Vijan’s directorial debut which will roll sometime early 2016 and is likely to hit screens by November next. Kriti, who made her debut with Heropanti opposite Tiger Shroff, and recently had a huge release with Shah Rukh Khan’s Dilwale, was signed by Dinesh Vijan (the co-founder of Illuminati Films along with Saif Ali Khan) to romance Sushant onscreen, about a month back. Sushant is currently busy with MS Dhoni: The Untold Story, a biopic on India's World Cup-winning captain, Mahendra Singh Dhoni.

Says Kriti, “I am very excited and thrilled about it. The film is so beautiful. I was narrated this script even beforeHeropanti happened. Dinesh and I have been in talks for a long time now. This time when I went to meet him, Sushant, who was already on board for this film, was also present in Dinesh's office. Both of us were given a conversation scene to enact as part of auditions. We were surprised as we didn’t expect the audition to happen. We read the scene couple of times, Dinesh observed us, and we were immediately on. He felt that there was something very special about our chemistry, there was a kind of spark even as Sushant and I were meeting for the first time. Since then we have had many more readings as part of our preparations.”
