EXCLUSIVE: I Think Shraddha & I were Saved for a Good Film by the Gods - Arjun Kapoor
Arjun Kapoor is one actor who has surprised us by acting opposite a new actress every time he has signed a film. And that is precisely why his pairings are considered refreshing and time and again it excites the audience. For his next movie, Arjun will be seen romancing Shraddha Kapoor.
Ask the Kapoor munda as to what kind of an equation he shares with Shraddha and he reveals, "I have known Shraddha and we have danced together at many birthday parties. Her brother is a very dear friend of mine. I have known her for a long time and in fact it is strange that we haven't worked with each other yet. But it is good. I always believe we should work with fresh pairings because that creates excitement. I haven't repeated my co-stars. Today if I work with Parineeti, it will be exciting because its been 4 years to Ishaqzaade. So yes and also I think Shraddha and I were saved for a very good film by the Gods. The audience is also excited because it is a Mohit Suri film."
The last that we met Arjun, he had told us that the prep work would soon begin. Now that Ki and Ka has released, check with him on the status of Half Girlfriend and the versatile actor says, "I am prepping for Half Girlfriend. I start the film towards the latter half of May and we shoot for next 3-4 months. It is a difficult role and a difficult film and a nice challenge for me. After Ki and Ka, I look forward to this one. No breaks for me now, bahot le liya pichle saal. The break should be so that the audience is excited to see you. But I as an actor should continue working."
But this one releases on April 28, 2017, we reason. "It is good to space it out. The film releases after 12 months. Ki and Ka came 14 months after Tevar and it had its benefits. There was an excitement. Ranveer had Bajirao Mastani in 2015 and now he will have Befikre in 2016, which is fine. I think a year is allowed. And it is not like a pattern. This can change. I can shoot another film which might release next year, so then it will be like 'Oh next year you have two films'," signs off Arjun.
